New Podcast! Been a while, because Dina’s been sick. But now she is better! So we got to go to a movie last night, and talk about it all the way home, just like usual.
This is kind of an odd podcast, because both of us were sort of struggling with making sense of the film. We knew it was a good movie, but we weren’t sure WHY it was a good movie.
Glad that you guys watched it.I listened to your views and they are interesting. And a correction: There is only one PRASAD in this movie and that is Suraj’s character.Fahadh simply adopts the name at random when the police ask him.His real name is not revealed anywhere. It is evident in the climax when Fahadh tells Suraj where the real chain is.He says “I like you. That’s why I took your name”.

Now I can’t remember what we said about it! But I think in general maybe it was the idea the script came up with of doubling the characters? Even if it wasn’t his real name, it did allow for confusion and sort of “twinning” of the two leads while he was going under the same fake name as our “hero”.

Suraj Venjarammudu(Prasad) is a national award winner and that too for the best actor, just 2-3 years back.Since then,he is getting very good roles compared to the comedy stuff he was used to doing.

Thank you! The only thing I was fairly sure I had seen him in was as the heroine’s son in Oru Matthassi (sp?), which was a good role, but not a “hero” role.

Hi,
Just a bit of trivia about the younger police officer you casually discussed. He is a police officer in real life and it is his first acting assignment. In fact all the policemen except the older cop are police in real life. Do enjoy your reviews. Especially when you give points that I as an Indian does not notice. Regards from Kerala
