I am not marching to the polls because DOG. Or else I am, because the dog I wanted wasn’t available at the shelter last night (I don’t know, I am writing this from The Past). Anyway, I wanted to mark the day somehow, the anniversary of the First Women’s March, when there is a second march reminding us all that the fight continues.
I was thinking about updating the songs from last year, but this is still the best possible playlist/inspirational video combination for today.
First one that always makes me feel strong and happy
Then one that give me hope for a better future (and makes me like current censor board chair Prasoon Joshi since he wrote it. And think about how awesome Nandita Das is)
And finally, the best one.

It’s a really good song. You know Shekhar (of Vishal and Shekhar, the composers), offered to play a small role in the film, Sonam’s boyfriend? I feel like it might have been because he so believed in the story and understood what they were trying to say, as you can see in how wonderful the songs were for the film.
