I was thinking about it with Manmarziyaan and Abhishek, and with Raajneeti and The Godfather, plus it’s on Netflix, so why not? On Friday the 21st, this will be my Friday Classic. Watch in advance if you want to join the discussion. And also because it is a good movie.
Abhishek and Amitabh co-starring, both at the top of their game, Tanisha in maybe her one great role, Katrina perfectly cast, there’s nothing not to like. Well, okay, the mythologization of Bal Thackeray, that’s not to like. But it’s not exactly Bal Thackeray, so I can live with it.
Oh, and it’s also Ram Gopal Verma. But his ickiness is dialed way back in this, so I don’t mind him. Really, you should watch it!

I remember it well — and I just discovered I own the DVD! (ah, the little happy surprises when your DVD collection is a big disorganized box (I even find some DVDs in the wrong cases, just to add to the mystery.))
