Tuesday Tamil ReRun Announcement! You Should All Rewatch Kannathil Muthamittal/A Peck on the Cheek Before 10/9

Don’t panic, I know it is two Tuesday reruns in a row, but I am hoping to sneak in Devadas sometime this week so there will be a random new Telugu review somewhere in there.  I hope.  Anyway, this movie is so special and amazing, it should be no misery to rewatch it.  Or just comment again if you’ve already seen it.

If you haven’t seen a Mani Ratnam film before, and/or a Tamil film before, and/or a Madhavan film before, this is the place to start.  It is just beautiful and powerful and makes you feel better about the world because bad things happen, but also good things.  Truly, this is a movie I want as many people as possible to watch because it will make the world a better place just by seeing it.

And my review is one of the best I have ever written, so after you watch the movie, you have reading it to look forward to too.

Oh, and it is available on Prime under A Peck on the Cheek, and multiple other services as well, so it won’t be hard to find.

  1. Ha! Thanks, I avoided this movie for years, because it’s about war, and I knew it’s sad, but how can I call myself Madhavan fan if I haven’t seen one of his most important movies?

    • You know that trite thing they always say “it’s about the human spirit”? This film really is about that, and about families, and love, and understanding. War is just the smallest part.

Oh, and you get to see Madhavan being a sensitive and loving father, which is of course all kinds of sexy.

    • It’s like a short story version of a romance, no big conflict or misunderstandings, just a little sketch of what happens.
