Next Sunday, a fun one! A very irreverent one from the 70s, great comedy, great casting, great everything.
This was a bit of a “lost” film for a long time. And then Red Chillies bought up the Eagle Films catalog in order to get Shahrukh’s Chamatkar and it get folded into the Netflix deal, and now here it is again!
Manoranjan is just such a fun film, and breaks all the rules that today you wouldn’t dare to touch. A sign of how society doesn’t always move forward, sometimes it moves back. Oh, and it’s on Netflix. Did I say that?
(Don’t panic, the whole movie isn’t like this, this is just a dream scene)
I have never heard about this movie but now I read the plot and it’s crazy.

Even though the story is not original, it’s remarkable that it was made at all, and that too with established stars. Shammi Kapoor directed – may have been a pet project. I think it flopped at the box office, which isn’t surprising given the plot.
