Happy Christmas Eve! Like many households, we are celebrating with the annual Fight Over Whether Or Not to Go to Midnight Services. It’s so cold! And so late! Is candlelight carol singing really worth it? Or do we split the difference and either drive instead of walking, or go to the cheating 10:30pm service? At least it gives us a nice topic of conversation for the next 12 hours
As my sister, brother-in-law, and me square off and pick our sides, I have a present for you all!
I want to give you cards!!!! I have cards left over from last year, and this year, including styles that you have never seen before. And I want to mail them to you! Because you are all such nice people and I feel like we are friends.
So give me your address in the below boxes and you will get a fun card in the mail in a week or two (depending on how slowed down the post office is).
And if you don’t give me your address, I will feel all sad and like you don’t like me any more:
Merry Christmas Eve! I watched Badhaai Ho last night and it was a delight. Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta were amazing. You almost never see positive and nuanced portrayals of middle aged married couples, esp. when the couple has wrinkles and are overweight, i.e. look like real people. All the actors were good but Gajraj and Neena were the beating heart of the film. And they had real sexual chemistry!
Today we’re going to hang out in Pasadena and tomorrow we’re visiting friends. Hope you have fun with your family.

Hope you have fun too! And I am so glad you saw Badhai Ho, it’s such a lovely movie.
Now, Bahubali 2!

Thank you!
I can’t watch, because my sister has declared a no-crying Christmas (no “I’ll be Home”, no “River”, no “Christmas Eve in My Hometown”, etc. etc.). But I did read the lyrics and they are lovely.

I am just finish up a huge batch of snickerdoodles (sugar cookies with cinnamon) for our annual Christmas Eve service at church. We will be there for both the family service (our grandson is in the pageant) and the “adult” service (we are both in the choir). Then tomorrow we’ll have brunch with my daughter and her family, and then see Mary Poppins.
Wish I could share these in real life, but use your imaginations and enjoy!

If we have the energy, we are considering making Spritz cookies today. Because they are so good and surprisingly easy. But if we don’t have the energy, we will just buy cookies.

Pingback: Merry Christmas Eve!!! Grand Finale of the Christmas Season, Give Me Your Address and I Will Send You a Card!!!! - Dream Bollywood Working
My son, husband and I got flu at Christmas, so we stay at home and can’t go to family dinner. I always wanted to stay at home and do Christmas eve polish way, but today I hardly had energy to cook the pasta. It will be the simplest Christmas eve in my life, in pyjamas eating some sandwiches.
