Make It Your New Year’s Resolution to Help Grow My Readership!

Yes yes, it is that fun time again!  The time for you to read/ignore the monthly reminder to promote me.

If you want to start the year off right by paying back your Karmic debt to me, tweet my posts to your friends, or mention me in comments on other sites, or recommend me to podcasters/bloggers/professional writers/editors/whoever you may know.  I’m bad/unlucky at this kind of thing, so I really need help through personal introductions.

Most of you enjoyed my writing for all of 2018 without doing anything to promote me. Turn over a new leaf in 2019!!!! Spread the word about my blog and pay me back a little bit for all I do to entertain you.

  2. Margaret have you ever attempted to have your work translated to Hindi or other India languages and reach an audience that way? It would obviously tap into a vast and relevant readership.

    • There was one reader who translated a post for me and I put it up. There isn’t much Hindi writing on Indian film on the internet, I don’t if that means there isn’t an audience for it or that there is an audience and I should try harder to exploit it.

  3. I retweet your articles sometimes and tag srk on them but doesn’t seem to be working much. One thing you could do is repost your reviews on Twitter on the weekend the movies release and use the hashtags trending in India. Should help on Twitter at least. That being said, I found this blog because I love spoiler reviews. If other people are looking for Hindi film spoilers, they’re sure to find it, if the SEO analytics are right

    • Thank you! I appreciate the re-tweets.

My SPOILER reviews consistently get the most views, so I know I am bringing in people that way. But most of them don’t stay, they will check out the movie they want to see spoiled and then drift off until there is another big release. My views are down this month because I was sick and missed Simmba when it released, and there isn’t really anything else big that I can spoil. But, yaaay! I love my spoiler readers! I used to be that spoiler person, hated not knowing what happened in a movie. So glad you found me and are sticking around!

The nice thing about twitter is, I don’t have to be the one to tweet it. If you think it would be good for me to tweet reviews with the trending hashtag, then you can just do that from your own account with a link to my review. I’ll also suggest it to the person who is helping me with my twitter account (because I am bad at twitter and also have no time for it).
