Oh dear, I forgot to announce a review for this Sunday. Not worth it to put one up I guess. If I ever recover from my Manikarnika sleep deprivation, maybe I’ll catch up on Koffee and post on that. Or else write another weird niche fanfic.
Rajiv Menon!!!! Brilliant brilliant director who made two movies, both massive hits, in 1997 and 2000. And then spent 18 years working as a cinematographer and ad film maker (his ad film production house is in the top 3 in India), before FINALLY returning to directing. His new movie is coming out this Friday, and I am very very very excited. As are all right-thinking people.
I’ll start with Rajiv’s made his second film, a recreation of Jane Austen in South India, featuring Tabu and Aishwarya Rai, plus a young Ajith, and an aging Mammootty in an absolutely perfect cast for Sense and Sensibility. Plus another amazing AR Rahman soundtrack. Kandukondain Kandukondain is available on youtube FOR FREE!!!! You have no reason not to watch it!!!
I’ll be reviewing Kandukondain Kandukondain on Thursday, 1/31.
Rajiv’s first film is the one I will be reviewing second, Sapnay/Minsara Kanavu. It is a love triangle between Arvind Swamy, Prabhudeva, and Kajol. A delightful Cyrano De Bergerac inspired story, with amazing Prabhudeva dances and an amazing AR Rahman soundtrack. You can watch it on YouTube, Google Play, Amazon, pretty much every where.
I’ll be reviewing Sapnay/Minsara Kanavu on Sunday, 1/3! Watch before then!

Looking forward to it . . .
