Happy Saturday! I get to hang out with my parents and my dog and not do much of anything. Maybe go to the cook out in the parking lot of the grocery store. Or a dog park. But you all can chat!
Here’s some fun things to discuss! For instance, what is your favorite funny nasty line from a Super 30 review?
Is this photo of Albie Dog terrifying or cute?

What movie should Hrithik make next, now that Super 30 finally released and the Tiger film is almost done?
Or, any other fun thing you want to discuss!
What is up with Hritikh’s savior complex in his last few movies? In the last few years, he has singlehandedly rescued the people of Mohenjodaro, rescued his blind wife, and is now saving poor children! Not to mention the entire Krish series…ugghh…of course, this is a symptom of Bollywood writing these scripts…but he must have some reasons to be drawn to such stories…
So now I want to see him in a “star” role that isn’t saving anyone…oooh how about a role where he is a stunningly handsome man going about trying to get people to take him seriously but people only care about his looks and underestimate him/take advantage…basically legally blonde rewritten for him…

Oh oh! I wrote that Hrithik movie: https://dontcallitbollywood.com/2018/03/25/silly-sunday-rerun-last-years-new-movie-ideas-for-rani/
Interesting point, I hadn’t thought about it that way. Let me give an alternative way of thinking about it (which I think filmilibrarian came up with), Hrithik doesn’t seem to like having strong actresses opposite him. Maybe it’s insecurity about his own acting ability, maybe it’s directors making that choice, but without a strong co-star he ends up being far more of a “savior” figure and the center of the film than he would be otherwise. The heroine of Mohenjo Daro is supposed to be as important as Hrithik, she gets this whole big build up, and then her character and the performance just doesn’t live up to that. Super 30 would be a different, and better, film if his girlfriend had become his wife and had been integrated into the plot more. Or even his brother, or his mother. But instead Hrithik was the only central character and that lead it to be a savior plot. What do you think? Oh, and I am hoping this isn’t the case for the Tiger movie mostly because I think it would just be a boring movie if Tiger wasn’t equal to Hrithik in the film.
