I got overwhelmed trying to remember the non-Hindi movies, so I just left it at Hindi.
I love your list, it is so deeply deeply “Angie”. Half-Girlfriend, Style, who else will put these on their favorites?

Also Ente Mezhuthiri Athazhangal, Anoop Menon’s film nobody mentions and I loved so much even if I don’t know why.

Awww, but the internet says that was a 2018 release!

Yes it is, but still qualifies in the decade movies.

Oh sorry! I got confused between 2019 and decade posts.

My favourite movie of the decade is probably Padmaavat, my apologies to the world. I´ve seen that an ungodly amount of times.
Aside from that, Aiyaa, Qarib Qarib Single, Bareilly ki Barfi, Queen, Neerja, and Kill Dil, with the caveat that I only watch that last one for Govinda because it´s like his last great role along with the one in Raavan.

Have you seen Raabta? It’s SO GOOD. No matter what anyone else says. And if you like Jim Sarbh in Padmavat, you’ll like him as the villain in Raabta.

I enjoyed Raabta. SSR doesn´t do much for me and Jim Sarbh´s character didn´t make sense to me in the second half but I liked it.

This is a great list for telling me which movies I need to watch.

How come the poster of ELKDTAL has SECRET written right on top in such large letters?

No idea, it’s a weird graphic design choice, isn’t it?

Ha! One of these things is not like the other! All your Bengali influenced female character lead intricately plotted dramas, and also Bahubali 2. Although this goes back to the back and forth we were having about Bahubali on my “film of the decade” post. It’s good not because of the special effects and stuff but because of the moral quandaries. Really has more in common with Piku and Kahaani than is apparent at first glance.

Oh this is going to be a long list: Band Baaja Baarat, Khoobsoorat (this movie makes me unnaturally happy), Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya (best sex scene in a Hindi movie… ever!), Veere Di Wedding, Bareily Ki Barfi, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Bang Bang, SOTY, Akash Vani, Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, Kapoor and Sons, Dil Dhadakne Do, Bobby Jasoos (I love Vidya in this movie so much), Ok Jaanu, Dawat-E Ishq, and Hasee To Phasee.

First, this is making me think I need to put up a “what is the best rom-com of the decade?” post. The 2010s were surprisingly rich that way!
And second, is Bobby Jasoos worth watching?

So, here goes:
Piku, JHMS, Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani (don’t hate me!), Bhajrangi Baijaan, War, Chennai Express, Raabta, the Baahubali’s (especially 2), The Lunchbox, ELKDTAL, A Gentleman, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Daawat-e-Ishq, Notebook and Raazi.

Yes Bajrangi Bhaijaan! I keep forgetting that movie came out this decade. It is so sweet and wonderful and more people need to talk about it.
And with your Notebook and Daawat E Ishq choices, get ye over to my rom-com post to give your opinion.

I freaked out when I saw the title because how can I choose my favorites from a 10 year span. Then I started thinking about it and realized that most of the movies I watched were in this 10 year span and I could probably come up with a really easy list just looking at my top ten lists and just removing the few before the decade. So I decided that I should do all languages
Hindi:
– Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania
– Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
– Piku
– Main Tera Hero
– Neerja
– Badrinath Ki Dulhania
– Khoobsurat
Telugu:
– Dookudu
– 1: Nenokkadine
– Ye Maaya Chesave
– Manam
– Baahubali
– Eega
– Fidaa
– Khaleja
Tamil:
– Singam
– Velaiyilla Pattathari
– Thuppakki
– 24
– Maryan
– 3
Malayalam:
– Bangalore Days
– Ohm Shanthi Oshana

I was so proud of myself for having seen all of these, until I got to Tamil. I really need to watch more there. On the other hand, they are SO HARD to find!!!!
