This is a silly post. But sometimes it is nice to be silly on a Monday. And this is definitely a post that everyone can vote on! No special knowledge needed, or any additional information beyond what is here.
FilmFare is the “respectable” film magazine. Which means they don’t report the super super fun gossip stuff, but they do get the biggest most respectable interviews. And therefore the most over the top and ridiculous photoshoots! Let us go through the last year and pick which of their insane cover and photoshoot concepts was worst and which was best.

Katrina looks so soft and pretty! Deepika looks like she’s been possessed. Special (bad) mention to the Best Little Whorehous in Texas getup Vidya’s wearing.

All of the Vidya photos were at these weird angles clearly designed to hide her body. So insulting! I love her face, but you don’t need all that hair and boa and stuff to try to hide that she is a full figured lady.
Katrina looks so pretty! All of her photos were simple, and very nice.

Best: Sonam (she just looks like a bad ass), Katrina (so simple and pretty) and Ajay and Kajol (they just look ageless). Worst: Sara and Vidya. What the heck is going on with both of those shoots?

Sonam and Kat looked amazing in every shot of their shoots, I had a hard time narrowing down the photos I picked. Ajay and Kajol were mostly amazing, but each of them got one incredibly unflattering shot and I was kind enough not to use that one. Agree though that they are some kind of ageless representation of ideal Masculine and Feminine.
Vidya I think they made her up and did weird angles and big hair to hide her body, which is STUPID since her body is awesome. Sara, I truly have no idea. Maybe she was vacationing in Africa anyway so they did an African themed shoot? But it’s STRANGE!!!

But Sara looks great! That’s the frustrating thing, if it weren’t for the racism it might be the most interesting photoshoot, natural look to her face, different kind of clothes, great background. And then there’s the native garb locals, ruining the whole thing.

I have something bad to say about every photoshoot.
– I like Deepika’s cover but the problem is she doesn’t look like Deepika. The second photo is bad.
– “Vidya Balan on growing more desirable” and the photos show her hidden behind the couch
– Sara’s cover is good, but the second photo? What is happening there? Is she some kind of evil slave owner who beats people with the stick?
– Alia& Varun – how two atractive people can look so not sexy together? Varun is hot hot, but I don’t see any chemistry between them.
– Katrina’s cover is so so. The second photo is odd and sad in my opinion.
– Sonam looks like possesed by some strange trash bad ghost.
– Anushka – OMG I love the cover: the pose, her hair, the dress. But again the other photo is stupid and ruins the photo shoot.

– Shahid – definitely the WORST cover, outfit and the photo
– Kartik – young bearded guy without shirt on bed, so why I’m not attracted? I’m literally more interested in the orange juice he is holding than in him.

-Yes! That is why I started putting names above the photos, because I looked at Deepika and realized without a label no one would know who it was.
-So dumb! The whole article is supposed to be how she is “sexy”, and they hide her body
-From the rest of the photo shoot, it looks like it was on location somewhere in Africa? Pretty scenery and all that, but why use people as part of the scenery?
-Thank goodness it’s not just me! I love Varun and Alia together, but this photoshoot is just bland
-Katrina has such a great face for photographs, it’s hard to make her look bad. But agree, the photoshoot feels sad somehow
-But a powerful arresting looking trash bag ghost!
-The photoshoot seems to be just Anushka changing clothes and traveling around some European city. Such an odd concept
-Agree. She’s pretty, the clothes are fine, but there’s nothing really original
-Does Shahid feel kind of like Shahid in a Ranveer Costume to you?
-Plus it just feels like Shahid redux! Sort of like Kriti’s photo shoot felt like KAt’s all over again
-They are ok indeed! And there’s even more photos I didn’t pick were they still look good.

Not impressed with any of them but if I had to choose at gunpoint, Anushka’s is the best one. It looks natural and normal and not as fake as the others. I have a major pet peeve against them lightening all the women’s eyes. Look at those creepy fake looking eyes Deepika has going on.
Worst by far is the Kartik cover. I usually hate shirtless covers. No personality at all.

I would put Kartik slightly ahead of Varun in terms of shirtless but with personality. On the other hand, Varun has Alia with him to help, so that cover at a whole is still better than Kartik.

I like Varun Alia in general, but somehow this photo shoot just didn’t work for me.

BEST: For me, a tie between Varun & Alia, and Anushka. Varun & Alia look hot together, and Anushka looks so good with short hair.
WORST: Vidya. She looks high, the way her eyes are half closed. But I also hate Shahid’s weirdly shaped sunglasses.

Anushka has great hair, but for me Varun-Alia just look sort of cold.
And now I can’t stop staring at Vidya’s eyes!
