Happy Last Minute Birthday Hrithik! What Are Your Best Songs From the Last Decade?

The sad thing is how few of them there are. What with Hrihtik’s spaced out release schedule and physical issues, he just isn’t dancing as much as he should.

“Fire” from Kites, a great start to the decade except that it features nutty Kangana

“Senorita” from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, I just wish he didn’t have to share the screen with two other actors

“Raghupati Raghav” from Krrish 3, terrible hair but good dancing

“God Allah Aur Bhagwan” Krrish 3, two Hrithiks and yet Priyanka seems to be doing most of the dancing.

“Tu Meri” from Bang Bang, this is my go to pure happiness song

“Bang Bang”, my go to “sexy Hrithik” song

“Tu Hai” from Mohenjo Daro. Okay, the hats are ridiculous, but the dancing and song are great!

“Jai Jai Shiv Shankar” from War. Joyful, colorful, wonderful! Only complaint is that there isn’t enough of it.

My choice for best of the decade? “Tu Meri”, for sure. With a special mention for “Tu Hai” as most romantic. Really just all the “tu” songs.

  1. Tu hai is lovely. Yes, as long as hats are ignored. Jai Jai Shivshankar is so great (finally have War on the agenda for movie night next Friday!) and Senorita is my favorite for dancing – we use that song about every other week. Very fun. I’m gonna call it for JJS.

    • Yaaaay, you are going to see the Hrithik-Tiger love!

And I am so glad I’m not the only person with a soft spot for “Tu Hai”

      • I liked the Tu Hai song. I didn’t find the hats distracting, too.

It gave a bit of exotic feel to the Mohenjodaro atmosphere ( & made up for the lack of extras !! )

  2. Best song – Ghunghroo by far but it didn’t have much dancing
For dancing – Bang Bang. My god, he is gifted.

Any song that has Farhan’s croaking voice is disqualified.

  3. The song I enjoyed the most, without before seeing the film was Senorita. It was a mini movie of a song. I confess, I like Farhan’s croak, he croaks on key. But when I first saw the song I didn’t even know I was listening to the actual actor. The song my kids like the best is Tu Meri, because it is fun and from Bang Bang which everyone loves. The song that has the most spectacular dancing is Fire. And for all the screwed up complicated drama, he and Kangana look great on the dance floor.

    • I agree with your kids!

And I also agree that Senorita is like a little movie. I’ve enjoyed it for years without having seen the whole film.

  4. Tu Meri and Bang Bang are tied for best dancing for sure. For listening, Tu Hai is gorgeous. Jai Jai Shivshankar is my son’s favorite song at the moment so we like to blast it in the car and sing along (in horribly mangled Hindi of course). Senorita is fun but holy shit poor Abhay is a horrible dancer and even more so when the poor thing is dancing next to Hrithik.

    • Abhay had to learn Salsa for Aisha I think, and then Zoya gave him another Salsa style dance in Honeymoon Travels, and finally Senorita. So I think it is the only dance he can kind of do, and I suspect that was the main inspiration for Senorita, “what is a dance we can get away with having all three of them do? Well, it’s Abhay, so I guess some variation of Salsa”.
