You know those songs that make you feel like you are outside with the wind in your face and the sun shining and lots of space to run and run? Let’s share those songs with each other!
First one that comes to mind! Appropriately, since in the film it is the dream of a character who is trapped inside. “Kyon Hawa”
Nothing really special about this song, I just somehow really like it. “Hum To Deewane Hua Yaar”
Going old school classic!!! “Dekha Ek Kwab”, walk through endless tulip fields with Amitabh
Fly away to a romantic fantasy with Southern Sid and Genelia! “Ale Ale”
Dancing in the sunshine all free and happy on outdoor stairs, “Radha”
Riding a car in the sunshine with an open top, “Khaabon Ki Parindey”
Riding a truck down a highway, stopping on the way to sit in the grass and just breath, “Patakha Guddi”
Go on a glorious island vacation with Sid and Kat! “Sau Aasman”
And my favorite, at the end, Shahrukh, finally running fast and free and easy, “Mitwa”
Just listening right now to Butterfly from JHMS while I take a break from homeschooling. How does anyone do this?

Oh, Butterfly is GOOD!!!!
My Mom homeschooled us, but to be fair she started when we were 10 and had longer independent attention spans. And also, we could go out in the world to art classes and after school activities. So really not the same at all. You have my sympathies! And also, you will be getting an e-card emailed to you every week from now on because that is my for now card system.

I was sure you were going to do the title song from Roja, because it’s another solitary confinement song, but you surprised me!

As I come from Southern part of India, the sceneries of that Chinni/Chotisi song are not novel to me with due respect to Maniratnam and PC Sreeram. I have lived and seen such rural scenes. However I was awed by Kashmir snow when I saw the song for first time on TV as a kid in 90s. Love for snow is lost after living for years in Boston and later Minneapolis.

Oh dear, Boston and Minneapolis would definitely kill love of snow! I’ll toss Syracuse in there (where I did my grad degree). 160 inches of snow the winter I lived there, brrrrrrr.
