I started a new streaming series series of reviews, but I forgot to say I was doing it, and now I’m not sure you know. I am! It’s a new series! I’ll be doing little mini-reviews of every episode, one a day! And it’s super short, easy, fun, and light. Watch it with me and discuss! (index of all Little Things reviews here)
Little Things! The episodes are only around 15 minutes long, and it’s on Netflix, and the new season just came out.
You know Mad About You? Or I Love Lucy? Picture that, but in modern day Bombay with a live in couple. They are in love, they live together, they have little every day adventures. He’s a scientist who is very focused and a planner, she’s stuck in a job she doesn’t like, and changes her mind all the time, and is a little bit lost. But they love each other, and they rub along okay.
It started as a web series and has a very web series feel to it. Lots of just hanging out and chatting, messy natural look to the sets and make-up and hair and everything. Completely accessible to a non-Indian audience, there’s none of the super specific stylistic stuff you see in “real” Indian TV shows.
Watch it with me! Hang out with pleasant nice people in 15 minute chunks and then come over to the blog and talk about it!

I’m in! This sounds just right for my attention span/ability to wrest control of the TV from my family these days.

You should comment along on the posts! Even if you have to rewatch the episodes to remember which is which, they are only fifteen minutes after all 🙂

I think I watched couple episodes sometime back, then gave up. Felt the girl was one of those trying to be cute/ cutesy characters which I can’t stand!

Netflix keeps playing the season 3 trailer at me, and it looks like her character and the show in general deepens quite a bit as time goes on.
