Ajeeb Daastaans Review (SPOILERS): Nothing Goes the Way You Expect it to Go

What a great concept for a short film collection! Take a story we think we know, and then turn it into something totally different just when we think we know what is happening.

Ajeeb Daastaans Review (No Spoilers): Do Not Think You Know Where These Movies Are Going

Well, this was a FASCINATING collection of short films! I highly highly recommend it. Except for the 2nd film which might have been the most interesting, but also has something happen in it that is so bad I suspect it will be triggering for some of you. I’ll SPOIL it at the end of this review so you can decide for yourself and be warned. Even if you can’t watch that movie, you can still watch the other 3!!!!

Roohi Review (SPOILERS): The Superheroine Origin Story I Always Wanted and Never Knew It!!!!

Yaaaaaay, a SPOILERS review!!!! If you just don’t have the energy to watch this movie but are curious about it anyway. Or if you can’t do horror but want to know what it is like. Or if you have seen it and are DESPERATE to discuss. But if you like horror comedies with a feminist message, you can also save this as a special treat and NOT read this review.

Silly Sunday: Charles Sobhraj Inspired Netflix Miniseries Starring SRK and Katrina Kaif

Great, Netflix finally does a Charles Sobhraj miniseries like I have been wanting, but there is only a little bit of Sexy Desi Cop which was my MAIN requirement for a Charles Sobhraj miniseries! I mean, there is still some sexy desi cop, split between two separate sexy cops, but it’s not the main storyline like it would have been in my more fictionalized version.

The Big Day Discussion Space: How Was It, Did You Believe in Love, Did You Believe in Expensive Weddings, Other Thoughts?

I have not seen it and I probably won’t see it. Life is too short! I like my happy dumb movies at my friends movie nights and our watchalongs, and then doing puzzles the rest of the time. However, just because I haven’t seen it doesn’t mean we can’t talk about it! In fact, it means I want you to talk more, tell me alllllllllllllll about it. And then tell each other about it and have conversations and stuff too!

AK VS AK Review (SPOILERS): I Made Notes! Every Reference Explained and Analyzed!

This is such a brilliant movie, and the more you know about it, the more you see how brilliant it is. Luckily, I just took a couple headache pills and the caffeine is going to keep me up all night, so I can tell you how brilliant it is!

Saturday Small Talk: Chat Away While I Do Final Christmas Prep

Happy Saturday! I am right on schedule, time to do the final apartment clean and wrap presents, then go back to my parents and make a gingerbread house. I don’t know if we actually want to make a gingerbread house, but it is on the list of Christmas Activities I wrote up back in November, so we have to.

Bollywood Wives! Things I Want to Talk To You About!!!!

My goodness, this is a dumb show! SUCH A DUMB SHOW! All these people are crazy and none of them have JOBS!!!! We must talk. Also, I feel very awkward because it is so mean to be talking about these real people. But they put themselves on the show, right? So it’s okay?

Chopsticks Review (No Spoilers): A Pleasant Little Film, No Songs But a Great Heroine

I finally watched it! Over a year after it released on Netflix and most other people saw it! But whatever, in this strange world of sliding release dates and straight to streaming products, I am still giving it a “no spoilers” and a “spoilers” separate review.

Ludo Review (No SPOILERS): A Movie About Love and Happiness

Yaaaaay! A good happy movie! If you want a film that is satisfyingly well-made, and has a nice happy love and kindness message, you should watch this! I was very worried, because it is the kind of film that can suddenly turn dark and angry without warning (like, Super Deluxe). But no! I can report that it stays in the zone of “the world is ultimately just and people care for each other”.

Ginny Weds Sunny Review (SPOILERS): Why Does Vikrant Massay Have to Turn Into a Big Old Jerk?

I watched it! Out of curiosity after I got super mixed reports from y’all. If you like light silly farcical rom-coms made on the cheap with up and down quality, then you will enjoy this movie, whether or not you Spoil yourself here. It’s not the destination, it’s the journey. And if you don’t like them (especially with a flawed hero character), then you can still spoil yourself!
