Scientific Research I Do Not Believe: Favorite Snack Food By State Map of America

Scientists! Telling us stuff that is just plain NOT TRUE based on our own experiences! I don’t trust ’em and I don’t believe ’em. Join me in doubt!

This is based on google trends, so I guess how much people search for an item based on state location? Anyway, I say FALSE! I have lived in Illinois my entire life, and I have never eaten a Skinny Pop, nor has anyone else I know.

My fellow Americans, look at this map and search your heart and tell me if you believe:

Also, has anyone lived in Texas? If so, FUNNYUNS? REALLY?

    • Thank you! I’ve decided the reason everyone is googling Skinny Pop in Illiinois is because they are asking “who the heck eats Skinny Pop?” Maybe it is the same with Funyuns in Texas? A bunch of people asking “why are funyuns so gross?”

  1. I think it’s actually sitting the opposite of popularity. If something is popular in a place, you don’t Google it, you just go to the grocery store. These are clearly the oddball foods in each place that nobody else eats locally

  2. For PA, Hersheys must from people looking up directions to the HersheyPark and Chocolate Factory. I am not even sure if chocolates are made in the factory any longer. The ‘tour’ is sitting in pods that go around a make believe factory with videos and such. And most chocolates they sell are made in Canada.

    • There is an actual chocolate factory near me, but it doesn’t have the PR. We just know they make chocolate because when the wind is right, you can smell it.
