Surprisingly difficult question, they had a lot of good movies together. Not always together-together, but they were both in a movie.
Not “best Kareena-Shahrukh chemistry” or anything like that, but straight up your favorite movie of the ones on this list.

Ra.One

Ashoka, all the way. I love Don, but she did just a small part.

But if you weren’t grading based on Kareena presence, just on the film as a whole, it would be Don?

Yes, Don is my favorite of the list. Ashoka is my second one.

On the film as a whole, K3G. Since you’re including Don I might (poorly) argue that you should include Billu too, which would then be my favorite film overall.

I was waiting for someone to bring that up! I have an explanation ready to go. In Don, Kareena was mostly just an item girl, but she did have dialogue and scenes outside of the song. Not true with Billu.

That’s what made my argument poor! Fair. just wanted to bring up Billu since I dind’t know if you were heading toward an item song post, but how could you not, and you did!

I’m voting Don, too.

K3G! The sibling dynamic is *chef’s kiss* too perfect for words. This is one of the few desi films that has accurately managed to capture siblings. Annoying, push your buttons, but you will KILL for them.
(I could definitely see Shahrukh killing Hrithik for Kareena (whether he knows who Rohan really is or not) or making fun of Robbie with her and taunting the poor boy.)

And each softens the other! We don’t see SRK as the stern patriarch because Kareena is always teasing him, and we don’t see Kareena as a totally spoiled brat because she is still kind of sweet to Shahrukh.

Ra,One – Asoka – K3G – Don – Billu by looking at the importance of Kareena’s role/cgaracter in the movie.
The way the video-Play in Ra,One (and the figure of G.One) was shaped clearly shows the importance, Shekhar gave to his wife and son…his emotional live revolved around his wife and son.
In Asoka, Kareena has the most erotic connection with Asoka and his love and loss is clearly something that influenced Asoka’s increasing violent reactions, but Kaurwaki is one of many influences in the movie.
In K3G she is an important member of the family and family structure but just a part of an ensemble.
In Don, the sequence with Don is more like a part of a character puzzle to showcase the cartoonish amorality of the man.
In Billu, she is a great ingredient to the filmed song (film in a film), but nothing else.
I would like to see her again with ShahRukh.

Ra.One and Asoka, Kareena also had a lot to do, far more than the average heroine. She had her own battles to fight (literally and figuratively) and she was separated from her love interest and surviving alone for a long time.
