As the days get shorter and Christmas stress increases, and my work stress explodes as well (everyone needs stuff before the end of the fiscal year!), poor Albie Dog is being asked to put up with a lot.
Does this photo say “I love physical affection and am happy to receive it”? Or, “I am miserable”? Or, “I am putting up with this patiently and waiting for my next meal”?
I think it says “I am putting up with this patiently”, which means I can hug him as much as I want but not expect him to enjoy it.
Especially since he does the same to me! If I put up with him climbing up on my lap and leaning all the way against me, then he can put up with hug attacks.
(also, yes, I am dressing only in red and green. IT’S DECEMBER!!!!)

As long as you don’t put the green hat on him, I think you have the perfect symbiotic relationship.

Hey, I wear unattractive clothes to take him for walks! We all suffer!

That is a face of patient forbearance. “My favorite human is squeezing me again, oh well.”

If he didn’t want you to do it I’m sure he would let you know.

That’s what I thought! All he has to say is “please stop that” in clear English, and I will stop.

By now he would probably speak in Hindi.

He’s from Kentucky (dog rescue), so I always picture him talking with a real soft thick southern accent.

Oh, I think he is very okay with being hugged by you but not okay being photographed…
Wearing only red and green! Ha! You just gave me a morning smile 🙂

The phone does excite him, because it looks like I am holding a toy he should be grabbing for.

I haven’t gotten him anything for Christmas (he gets enough from me!) but I have high hopes for his extended family.

And it’s good for him! Children need physical contact even when they make faces! So I will assume the same is true of Albie Dog, I am helping him.
