Friday WatchAlong: Bobby Jasoos, Preity Something, Varun Something?

What should we do for our Friday watchalong this week? It’s Preity’s birthday, so I’d like to do something for her. But it’s also Varun’s wedding week. And I want everyone to see Bobby Jasoos just because it is good.

Preity!!!! Woot-woot!!!!

Kal Ho Na Ho

Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna

Chori Chori Chupke Chupke

Something Else?

Varun! Congrats!!!

Street Dancer 3D

And finally,

Bobby Jasoos

It’s just a fun movie!

What should we watch? And Friday or Saturday morning?

    • Oh dear. But Rachel can’t do Saturday!!!! I’m all torn. We will have to wait for more votes.

  1. YAY Bobby Jasoos!!! You know how much I love that movie! If we are choosing a Preity movie, I would love for it to be Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega instead of Chori Chori, just because the ending of Chori Chori makes me sad. I wanted all of them to be a throuple forever! I am okay with any of the Varun movies you have picked.

  2. I’m still bitter that I missed the first time you guys watched Dilwale, so that’s my top choice. I’m also down to cry about Kal Ho Na Ho with everyone. And the last Saturday one exhausted me, so maybe Friday is better, but technically, I am free both days.

  3. I just realized that I am supposed to host a Friday 5 PM my time watch along of some SRK movie yet to be determined by poll on the TeamSRK fan club website so if you guys wanna do Saturday go ahead and I will try to join you the next time you do something together.

    • And you didn’t link to this watchalong possibility for your DCIB friends??? Why do you not want your DCIB friends to join your PlanetSRK group????

      • Lol only because I completely forgot I was doing it. I am absolutely going to ask everyone here to join who would like to! I’m going to post a poll today on our Instagram stories. Or Instagram is @teamSRKUS – pls come by and follow us there!

    • Voted!!!! By golly someone SOMEWHERE is going to watch KANK with me!!! If DCIB won’t do it, and my friends won’t do it, TeamSRK is my only hope.

        • WHY DOES NO ONE WANT TO SEE KANK WITH US???? I know it’s a flawed movie, but that is why it is a good watchalong! We can make fun of Preity’s stripper-chic!

          • Right? She thinks she’s high fashion but she looks like she was recently on a pole. Plus I like angry SRK. And Rani is depressed and still pretty. It’s a good movie to be snarky about together.

  4. You know, if you ever do watch CCCC I WILL make it possible to join you. I just have so much to say about that movie – though I’m perfectly willing to skip that very last scene, too, and move right into fanfic. By the way, does Switzerland count as a bubble? Then we could discuss it for Valentines Week.

    • Switzerland definitely counts as a bubble! But I am still debating my Valentine’s theme.

      • I remember during the summer course that first introduced me to Hindi film, how I argued that the relationship with Rani was so much more important than the one with Salman. I kind of wish I could go back to that discussion after having come out. I think I would be clearer about what I’m arguing now. But yeah, I guess then the result would have to be: They’re definitely a throuple.

I now think that the only reason it doesn’t have a Happy End like Pretty Woman is because then they would have had no way around making the throuple official.

        • Exactly! I agree that Preity’s relationship with Rani was so much more important than her relationship with Salman and she should continue to have that support and love. There is absolutely no reason for her to leave their lives. Have her be a part of this loving supportive family and grow with them.

  5. Stunning cinematography (and Varun eye-makeup) in Kalank; not much else. I’ll rewatchalong KANK or Bobby Jasoos (ho-hum) Saturday but might zone in and out.
