Monday Morning Questions: What Do You Want to Ask Me, the Week After My Vacation?

Happy Monday! I am actually excited to get back to work! I missed messaging my co-workers, I missed solving problems, I missed having structure to my day.

Here is where you get to ask me anything you want from “how was your vacation” to “It’s Anupama Chopra’s birthday tomorrow, what is her best book?” Just keep swinging back here all week as you think of new things you want to ask!

Now, Very Important question for you!!! Can you find Aryan Khan in this photo?

  1. Oooh, I totally forgot to mention this yesterday. Khaali Peeli is on Einthusan. I watched it yesterday and it was exactly what I expected it to be. Silly, stupid, campy, masala flick with great dancing from Ishaan Kattar and charming performance from Ananya Panday and a sweet little romance. It was the perfect time-pass movie on a Sunday afternoon! There are a bunch of non-linear flashbacks and it has some dream sequences that can be confusing but honestly it really doesn’t matter because the storyline is pretty simple to follow.

    • Would it work for a Friday movie do you think?

Oh wait! Shraddha Kapoor’s birthday is coming up! There are SO MANY Shraddha movies we could watch!

      • Not a Shraddha fan. She reminds me of a young Priyanka Chopra, competent, lovely to look at, hits all her marks, but essentially soulless. Something about her perfection turns me off. I wish she’d take chances occasionally, like Taapsee does, and maybe fail. That would be okay and I’d like her more, relate to her more as a human and not just a wind-up actress.

    • I don’t have Einthusan, and I’m sure campy, dancing, masala Ishaan was dreamy. But if you want to see him turn in a mature star performance, watch A Suitable Boy. He gave always wonderful Tabu a run for her money.

      • Thank you! I plan to watch A Suitable Boy at some point. I just need to be in the right mindset for it. You are tempting me to watch it sooner rather than later though! Have you seen Ishan’s first film(outsides cameos and being a child actor), Beyond the Clouds? He is excellent in it. I was shocked at how good he was for just starting out.

        • Oh oh! You have to get Acorn to watch A Suitable Boy, and if you get Acorn, you should NOT watch A Suitable Boy, instead/first you should watch Agatha Raisin.

          • Which is probably what I will do. Agatha Raisin seems more my speed right now. But I know I will watch A Suitable Boy at some point because I like Tabu and Ishaan far too much not to.

        • Yes. He was wonderful in Clouds. I felt he was weak in Dhadak but that might have been because Jhanvi was weak. I read he’s in great demand, has half a dozen films coming up.
