Warning: I slept very badly last night for no reason, my brain fingers not working right, there will be typos.
99 Songs! AR Rahman’s first movie as a producer! The soundtrack partially dropped a long long time ago, but no trailer or release date for AGES.
And now the trailer is here! Pretty much what you would expect, a little boy who loves music fights against his family and society to pursue his genius, falls in love, gets his heart broken, blah blah blah music. I am a little worried because later in the trailer he is wearing hospital scrubs which makes me think this is a “my heart was broken and I went insane” movie and also HOW IS THAT A WHOLE GENRE OF FILM IN INDIA????? How many people actually enjoy watching folks go insane (literally insane) thanks to a broken heart?
On the other hand, the visuals are AWESOME. I suspect that purely as a kind of collection of music videos, this film will be amazing. Oh, and I think I saw Manisha Koirala for half a second as an encouraging music teacher, that seems great too.
A Must Watch movie for me. I wish I coud watch it in cinema.

It’s not a movie one watches for a plot, and we still aren’t sure it’s a heartbreak insanity. And the most important – Ranbir doesn’t play the protagonist here so it will be good.

Yes, you are right…the plot seems meh…but it looks great…oh well…will only watch it if you recommend it!
P.S. Kangana’s Thalaivi trailer is also out…and it looks like another cliched hagiography with zero nuance

Kangana in a Hagiography without nuance??? I am shocked SHOCKED! She is such an open minded person, ready to accept criticism and acknowledge flaws! (sarcasm)

Hahaha…so there is a comedian who does a spot on impression of Kangana…hilariously rambling diatribes of everyone and everything…its mostly in Hindi so you might not get it…but I think you might appreciate the gist of it!
