Happy Monday! I woke up at 5:30am and drove to the lake house because I had to GET AWAY FROM BOXES. It’s so nice here. Not heated and no food and everything smells of dust, but NO BOXES.
Here is where you get to ask me anything you want from “Did you know it’s Rajesh Roshan’s birthday?” to “Who is Rajesh Roshan?” Just keep swinging back to this same post all week as you think of new questions!
Now, question for you! In honor of his birthday, which of these Rajesh Roshan songs is your favorite?
I think Ek Pal Ka Jeena.
I saw a trailer I must share Canto-Hindi movie My Indian Boyfriend
The trailer looks 100 times better then this indo-nigerian movie we were talking about few months ago. Unfortuantely I feel it will disapear somewhere and will never make it to streaming. I hope I’m wrong.

Ek Pal Ka Jeena is pretty great. I didn’t realize he did Julie too!

Ooh! For all the Arjun lovers, Sandeep Aur Pinky Farar just came out on Amazon Prime and Einthusan. It looks pretty, bad but I’m still excited to watch it.

Yes! I am debating if I need to watch it or not. I think I will see how I feel. This is my Moving Week, life is HARD

I’m in the middle and it’s not bad. Actually it has good reviews.

Oooh good to know! Let me know what you think about it. I started Sardar Ka Grandson while I was on the treadmill last week and needed something to motivate me to run. I’m about 40 minutes in. I started off getting really annoyed at Arjun and then kind of settling into a meh feeling. I really like Neena Gupta and Soni Razdan so I am hoping the movie will pick up soon.

I didn’t like it and very quickly gave up.

Popka, I have a feeling you’re gonna like two sequences in particular – one where Arjun dances and the ending (which I don’t want to spoil but he’s glorious).

I’m not going to watch it further because the violence against the heroine turned me off, but I do want to see that song!

This isn’t the entire thing, but has good bits –
If you’re talking about the Arjun-Pari scene, then yeah, that shocked me too! He kind of redeems himself by the end, but sadly Pari has more to suffer!

Oh and forward it to the last 10 minutes or so, worth it!

Yeah, an automatic no for me in a recent film, at least when it’s done this way. This is why I don’t understand the censors, but hey.
Oh wow, thanks for the tip off! I love that song and his giant ham thighs, and I wouldn’t have wanted to miss that ending. They should go more extreme with AK’s styling more often. He has a giant face with huge features and should have a big look to compliment that.

Chandrachur Singh – for a very very short time he was “the next big thing” in bollywood and then he disappeared completely. What were the reasons? Could he have a good career? What do you think about him?

He has a pudgy face! I hate him! He ruined Kya Kehna for me. And also Josh. I just could not buy him a romantic lead. Too pudgy looking!

LOL But was/is he a good actor? And why he stopped making movies?
And BTW, while talking about actors who stopped making movies- Did you hear about Kartik Aaryan being kicked from Red Chillies movie? First the rumors said he was kicked, and now I read an article (that looks like written by Kartik PR) that he was the one who decided not to do the film because he didn’t like the script. I rarely read gossip but the Kartik drama is just too interesting.

I did not see that Kartik was kicked from Red Chillies! I wonder if he has drug problems? This is just me spitballing, but everything I have heard about him was a hard worker who kept his head down. Drugs seems like the kind of thing that could make someone suddenly go from reliable to unreliable.
Pudgy dude as an actor? Not good enough to make me forget how pudgy he was!
