This post comes to you from my phone while I try to look busy and important, too important to move my own boxes.
I always feel guilty for having Stuff when I move. Like it’s my fault for having so many book boxes, or the freakishly heavy table. I want to say “sorry! I know I should own lighter weight things!”
But I shouldn’t say that! Because it is their JOB! So instead I am typing this post on my phone so I look busy. Fun!
UPDATE: I just braided my hair while watching them move my boxes. I am Marie Antoinette.

It was raining two moves ago, but that was actually one of my better moves! Maybe because it was the last one without a piano.

You have nothing to feel sorry about but I also completely understand! I felt the same way when we moved. Even though I tell the movers beforehand how heavy my furniture is, they always underestimate it. Needless to say, we had very heavy furniture that needed to be taken up one flight of stairs on a very hot summer day.
I just ended buying the movers lots of cold gatorate, sodas with sugar, and sandwiches as a way to assuage my guilt.

I gave my movers NOTHING. But I think they understood, since I was clearly so totally packed up, and it was just a one way move. When they move me in someday, somewhere, I will give them drinks.

Crazy coincidence, I just took today off to do the final walkthrough and turn over the keys to my aunt’s apartment.
