Happy Friday!!! And Happy Kareena’s Birthday Week!!! FilmiKudhi suggested we watch a Kareena movie and I think that is a GREAT idea. What should we watch???
Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon
Only downside to this movie is that we have to watch it on einthusan, or else the funky Rajshri youtube channel. And also, it’s TERRIBLE. But for a watchalong, that could be a plus!
Fida
Two reasons to watch it! First, I’ve never seen it and always kind of felt like I should because it is Shahid-Kareena young and cute. And second, it was just added to Netflix!

The only problem with this movie is, once again, only on einthusan! But OMG it is just MADE for a watchalong!!! Priyanka as a maneating sexual harasser, Akshay as the poor pure victim, Kareena as the lawyer who saves him.
What do you think? Which over the top older Kareena movie is best? Or do you have another nomination?

No no no to Fida!!! Maybe you already know this, but there is nothing cute about the movie! Everyone in it is a terrible human being. It’s not even worth a hate watch. SPOILER: Shahid falls in love with Kareena at first sight and when she does reciprocate he tries to commit suicide with sleeping pills. Then when Kareena turns out to be evil, Shahid turns psycho, stalks her and shoots her in the head. There is no one you want to root for. Everyone sucks!

Oh, I should add that the movie combines three genres that could be fun and make for a really clever movie: romance, bank heist, and thriller. And it should be fun to see Kareena in an unabashedly evil role, because I feel like she was born to play such roles!!! But somehow this movie just jumbles everything up into a weird mess.

See, THAT’S what I already knew! That it was a weird thriller bank heist thing with 3 young stars and lots of songs. Sounds great on paper!

Everyone sucks is how I always felt about Seinfeld, and yet it was still entertaining. But I can’t watch this week (my brother is getting married) so I don’t get to vote. Maybe I’ll be thinking of you guys during the wedding rehearsal but hopefully I won’t be thinking I would rather be at home watching Karena.

Ha! I wonder if that’s the reason I couldn’t get into Seinfeld. I tried so hard to get into it because everyone around me loved it, but it just wasn’t for me.

I looked it up when Margaret mentioned it and it looks great! It looks like a comedy of errors mystery? I am so intrigued. Plus, Akshay Khanna is in it and I enjoy him so much!
