Shahrukh Month: Is He a Taco or a Cinnamon Roll???

Let’s have a silly debate!!! Today is both Taco Day and Cinnamon Roll day, which one is more of a Shahrukh symbol?

Cinnamon Roll! Sweet, spicy, soft, comfort food

Shahrukh in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Shahrukh in Dilwale, Shahrukh in Happy New Year, Shahrukh in Main Hoon Na, etc. etc.

Taco! Greasy, meaty, spicy, textured, crunchy

Shahrukh in JHMS, Shahrukh in Raees, Shahrukh in Don, Shahrukh in Fan, etc. etc.

Mahira, Shah Rukh Khan's 'Raees' most talked about film on Twitter in India

Which is he MORE?

Which do you like best?

What other movie roles can you divide into these categories?

  1. Ugh I had a struggle when I read the title and thought we had to CHOOSE. So before actually reading the post, I went through his movies and while he can be both, I’m going to settle on taco.

He’s surprising/unexpected, there’s always a backbone to each of his characters, and while he COULD be smothered in cream cheese frosting, it’s completely unnecessary. He is a snack AND a meal (good for cameos and as a protagonist). So, taco!

    I hope this makes sense…

  2. In all honesty, even in his calmest roles, SRK is a taco. He is not and cannot be squishy comfort food. He is a great actor, but what ever he does complexity will rule.

      • But that leaves you feeling heavy and overfull! He is more of a “can’t stop at just one” person than a “don’t want any more after the first few bites” person.

  3. He himself is a taco because of the complexity and edge that he brings to every single roll he plays but some of his characters are cinnamon rolls. Make sense?

  4. SRK irl is definitely a taco as he’s a normal human and also we don’t know as much about him. Now on screen it’s a matter of genre for me. If he’s in a romance then it’s cinnamon roll but anything else it’s a taco roll

  5. As a long time vegetarian, I remember roast beef as lush, juicy, and umami-filled, a food that, unlike broccoli, you can never get enough of. But I bow to the taco majority. SRK must be a lot of good, smooshy things wrapped in a hard, crusty shell that nevertheless breaks under pressure.

  6. Because of the description here, I would rather go with “taco”…yet, I don’t eat or even like tacos!!!! for eating, I largely prefer Cinnamon Roll because of the cinnamon!!!…It’s not the sweetness, but the cinnamon as such,,,I simply ADORE cinnamon (and looking at Wikipedia, it’s the variety that supports my thinking…)

    • Well, you can put a touch of cinnamon in a taco, so there’s that.
