This is scary! Watching a new-to-me movie for the first time on a watchalong. What if I don’t like it? Or, what if I like it so much that I forget to comment?
Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin! A remake of Chori Chori which was a remake of It Happened One Night. So prepare to compare Aamir Khan with Clark Gable.
It’s only available on einthusan, so also prepare for lots and lots of fun technical difficulties!
But Aamir is cute, Pooja Bhatt is cute, and obviously the plot is an irrisistable classic.

One of my all time favorites. It works way better than It Happened One Night (which also is one of my all time faves) and Chori Chori because it sticks to what works in those movies and puts enough fresh twists of its own. It also has the one thing both those movies are missing – an actual capper scene where we see the leads reunited with a callback to how they first met. Mahesh Bhatt, Aamir Khan, Pooja Bhatt and Anupam Kher are all in A+ form in this movie.
