Get ready! We are going to watch a movie we all HATE. Okay, a movie Kirre and I hate, and Shelomit hasn’t seen but is open to learning to hate it. For Dips and Rahman’s birthday! Because the two of them are the only good parts of the whole awful mess.
Tamasha! On Netflix, great songs, great Dips performance, infuriating Ranbir performance/character/everything. Join us in hate!

WAIT. I don’t hate Tamasha at all, even though I hate Ranbir, and I usually agree with you. Plus ‘Agar Tum Saath Ho’ is a STELLAR song. But I have to work anyway 😦 Would have been fun to try to pull Shelomit over to my team.

I haven’t watched the movie in ages, so I might end up being on your side in the end. Not going to lie, I have being avoiding watching the movie again for many years. At least now we are doing it as a group, so we all support one another in this.

Oh dear, I havent’ seen it since it released in theaters either. What if I end up loving it? What if I end up, horror of horrors, thinking that Ranbir is a good actor?

Oooh! I really enjoy Parampara also!!! Margaret us just wrong on Parampara. But I too strongly dislike Tamasha. I agree with Margaret here that the only good thing about the movie is Rahman and Deepika! Out of all the Ranbir movies I might only hate Rockstar and Sanju more.

Something to think about while watching Tamasha: I was listening to the songs from the movie today on youtube, and the comments Ranbir’s fans write are something else. Almost every comment is like: Oh this is so deep. Only few can understand how deep this movie is.

I’ve got meetings with principals and such and can’t make it – but I don’t HATE the movie, I HATE how Ranbir’s character turns into two totally different people, without connection, neither of whom are particularly worthy of love.
I feel kinda bad saying a character isn’t worthy of love, so okay, the character isn’t worthy of MY love.
