Friday WatchAlong: Aarzoo! On Einthusan! For Kirre’s Birthday! 3pm Chicago Time!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIRRE!!!! Just for you, we will watch an obscure bad 90s movie that is only available in an incomplete form on Einthusan! I’m actually excited, I’ve been wanting to watch it, but worried no one would watch with me because it’s so strange and hard. But now you will, because KIRRE’S BIRTHDAY!!!

Aarzoo! One of those obscure films people used to crank out by the dozens every year. Madhuri, Akshay, Saif, and yet I’ve barely heard of it and never watched it. I am looking forward to some excellent 90s insanity on a fuzzy poorly transferred einthusan print.

Because it is an obscure film, run times vary. Make sure you are watching the einthusan version so we can stay in sync!!! At 3pm tomorrow, Friday, Chicago time, I will put up an “and PLAY” comment and then we will all join in commenting from there. YAAAAAY, KIRRE’S BIRTHDAY!!!!

  1. Can’t wait! It is such a good movie with a lot of snarking, 90s nostalgia and WTF material. In Wikipedia, it says that it was a success (making more than its budged back) and one song ‘Saajan Teri Dulhan’ was a hit by all means. So not so obscure, just lost among the more prominent films of the 90s. Bad, well, depends on your interpretation. I call it interesting and entertaining – but that’s just me.

  2. Oooh, I think I can join a bit for this movie. It’s is so very 90s Madhuri!! Saif is wonderful! It’s easy to hate on Akshay.

Margaret – I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on this movie. In case I can’t finish watching it with you guys, this is one of those movies where I think Madhuri ends up with the wrong guy! I think I even made reference to this movie in one of your posts when you asked us in which movie does the heroine end up with the wrong guy. Obviously Bandini and this!!!

I am so looking forward to it. Also, happy birthday, Kirre!
