Reminder! Book Club! Get your copies now and read the first 5 chapters of Kim. I promise, you will like it.

Kim! It’s so so so so good, and Kipling’s vision of India directly influenced what India became (it was Nehru’s favorite book). And I love it and I want to share it with you.

So, read Kim! Or at least the first 5 chapters, and then come back in a week and talk about it with me.

  3. I have misplaced my reading glasses. But despite being prescription, I wonder if some regular drugstore ones would work – it feels like it is a basic magnification when I wear them? The hitch is trying to find a place that sells over the counter reading glasses in my small town! AHHH while typing this I found my reading glasses, they were on the windowsill under a deck of 3-D shark cards with a solar powered cockroach (that never worked) precariously balanced on top. I guess I have no excuse now.
