Happy Saturday! I have my cold coffee and my dog and I am ready to watch this terrible thing!
Ek Villain 2
It’s on Netflix! and it’s silly and romantic and thriller-y and the most available pick I could find for Angie’s celebration.

At 8am Chicago time, I will put up an “And PLAY” comment and we will go from there!
I’m almost home. I may be a little late, but only few minutes

My parents used to live across the alley from an Opera singer, and they loved it. But then, that was just vocals at 10 in the morning, not drums at night.

So how many times they said “villain” already?

They do a good job making Arjun completely unlikable.

Though I should say his hair looks great!

Oh yes! Using the terminology of this movie: Arjun may be the villain, but his hair is the hero

Arjun is doing a good job in this role, I have to say. Lowkey but scary.

He is good in those bad guy roles

Ugh, music festivals are the worst. Chicago’s having this whole thing right now where the neighborhoods are rising up and objecting to music festivals taking over their local parks.

It is interesting how the rival singer was all sexy and gross in that dress. Good costumer.

Yaaaaaay! Arjun is a bad rich boy who has been disowned from his family. He is picking up the heroine and promising to manage her singing career like a “villain”. He already pretended to attack a rival singer to help her get the headline spot.

Thank you! I tried to watch this movie when it first came to Netflix and think I only got through the first 15-20 minutes. I don’t remember this song so I must have stopped right before this. Perfect timing.

Arjuns green sleeveless sweatshirt! I have 80s flashbacks.

Is it just me, or is this song not very good? And also not what I would expect of a big festival hit?

Yes, I was thinking the same. The public and the musicians are like: yeah we are rocking! , while the song is a lullaby

It is NOT good! Mr. Toddles walked away.

It is like you a love story between them but Arjun is completely untrustable. So at the same time you want her to run the other direction.

She wore those crazy heels to run away in a mask?

honestly during all those festival shots of her in shorts and high heels I was thinking she would be so much sexier barefoot. Clearly the costumer disagrees with me.

What he is doing to this poor kiran with a Q woman is really mean. Really mean. And they’re cheating, you can be successful with out terrorizing someone. So it’s okay that she is killed in the first scene.

Also, her song stinks. Maybe if she had an actual rock song, she wouldn’t need gimmicks.

I have a high tolerance for bad acting if I find the actor charming but Tara Sutaria is where all charm and acting goes to die!

And this is not her worst role. In Tadap he was super terrible from the very first sentence.

They should both just stab eachother here and put a physical reality to the emotional pain they will cause eachother and world.

I have the say Arjun’s character is really interesting. I enjoy the complexities of the spoiled brat that you want to “win”. The known jerk that you want to turn good, but then kinda don’t.
