And I love Anushka, I think she is wildly underappreciated and I will always say that in JTHJ Shah Rukh made a mistake choosing blank faced ice queen Katrina over her. Do you know if she has any plans to return to film soon?

Two Anushka questions for you:
1. What do you hope for the Anushka of 10 years from now? What kind of career accomplishments, what kind of industry profile?
2. If Anushka and SRK did another movie together, what kind of story, what kind of roles would you want to see them play?
I always come back to Jiya Re and Raula, they’re always in my top 5 happy songs.

1. I want Anushka to mix strong co-lead roles with roles centered around herself. She has the talent, and the pop culture heft (not just from herself but from Virat) to demand the centerstage even as she ages. In films like Sultan, her role was technically small but such a strong character it was worthy of her. I want her to keep picking and choosing and doing stuff like that. I also love her as a producer, but looks like she has stepped away from that directly and handed it fully to her brother. Still makes her a power person though, just through the brother connection, she can keep getting her stories out. Mostly I want her to come out of the closet as an angry radical feminist! She does a lot of public work already but she’s stayed in the safe “animals” kind of space and only let her fminist part come out onscreen.
2. Anushka and SRK have to be strong independent characters who go on separate but connected journeys. That’s what is so great about them as a couple, they have such different energies that neither of them disappears into the other one’s story onscreen. So big picture, any sort of a story that is about two broken people who fix each other. I suppose it could be non-romantic, but I also think their chemistry is so strong that anything non-romantic would feel frustrating to the audience (JTHJ). So maybe the other way of thinking about it? Literally any plot involving two protagonists, and if it is Anushka and Shahrukh, we will believe that they fall in love.

Favorite Anushka song – I like the one with SRK where she is constantly flirting with him in Kashmir. The destruction of the hotel for SRK to impress her in Zero is another favorite, though she herself doesn’t do much in it. VERY DIFFERENT Anushka roles.

Looks like he did two Zee5 serieses and there might be another season of Breathe coming up. I wonder if he was a pandemic casualty? needed the work while theaters were closed so signed streaming stuff,a nd now he’s locked into contracts?
