Happy Monday! I have two exciting things happening today! First, I may have Jury duty! I’m supposed to call in the afternoon to find out if I have to go in tomorrow. First Jury duty EVER. Second, I just started doing simple Core exercises in an attempt to stop having a sore back all the time. So far I have learned that my core muscles are ridiculously weak.
Here is where you get to ask me anything you want from “what core exercises are you doing?” to “what movies are coming out that you are excited about?” Just keep swinging back here all week as you have more questions!
Okay, multiple questions for you! First, has anyone else started doing core exercises and discovered that there was a whole muscle group that was never used? I swear, I can walk for literal miles on my legs, and I can lift such heavy things with my arms, but apparently I am as weak as a baby between the two. I HATE IT!
Second, Mother’s Day is coming up! What is the best mother’s day movie of them all for you? English-Vinglish, Trimurti, Mother India, so many options!
unpopular opinion but I have never found Aishwarya Rai Bachchan that beautiful, have you? She’s gorgeous but most beautiful woman in the world is a bit much exaggeration. I feel her appeal lies in her eyes. Blue eyes are very rare in India. But then I know some people who have seen her in reality who think the photos don’t do justice to her beauty, she is indeed jaw droppingly beautiful in reality. What do you think?
on the other hand I have always found Madhuri shockingly beautiful

I’m with you!!! I have seen both in real life in 1998 and Madhuri is really beautiful even in real life.

I think Aishwarya is perfectly beautiful, as in her face follows symetrical lines and so on. Madhuri, on the other hand, has a special kind of charisma that makes her stand out.

I’ve not seen her but my mother has seen her before her modelling days when she used to attend college and she truly is stunning – the most beautiful women she’s seen. I think her global appeal lies in her light eyes, but she is still stunning without those eyes. However I also completely understand how you feel about Madhuri as she just has that aura.

hmmm, I think you must be right. Maybe it’s the way Ash is onscreen that can be so annoying – those giggles, over the top mannerisms, I will go insane!

I’m with you on that, my legs and arms are extremely fit. But my core is horrible, absolutley no strength on that area. Its partially the reason I avoid core exercises as it makes me feel horrible inside.

Masoom or Mom for me. I might love masoom a little bit more as it is less gory but I love both the films so much. English Vinglish and Mother India I feel celebrate women more than just mothers. While Masoom and Mom are specifically about motherhood.

Oooo, Masoom is so good! I’m tempted to make that a DCIB discussion film? I don’t think it would work as a watchalong.

Yes, 100%. Also I watched Main Hoon Na and what is it with Naseeruddin Shah cheating on his wives and bringing illegitimate son after his mistress’s death?

Also has anyone seen Laapataa Ladies? I just watched it and I would 100% recommend to everyone!

Shahrukh is no longer wearing his many bracelets in the pics from IPL. Wonder why? What’s your take?

I think it’s mostly likely one of two things. Either he was wearing them for an ayurvedic or religious reason and the time period he had promised to wear them has passed. Or, he was wearing them for a fashion reason and he got tired of having things on his wrist.

The trailer for Mr&Mrs Mahi has come out and honestly it comes across as a bit of a male saviour complex film. I hope that the film will avert those expectations but I’m guessing it will be like ‘yes I wanted this dream to fulfill my ambitions but look at how its benefitting you’

Oooo, I think I still want to watch it! I see what you are saying, and if Akshay was playing the husband I wouldn’t be able to stomach it. But Rajkummar brings a nice softness onscreen that undercuts the Male Savior superiority.
