You know, I saw a thing somewhere else that said Gauri and Suhana were hosting it, which sounded really cute, like little Suhana and her Mom spending time together planning the party, and then telling Shahrukh the party came from both of them.  But now the pictures are coming out, and I think it might be slightly different.  But still cute!

So, first, I was wrong yesterday, he really did come back to Bombay to wave to the fans!  He helicoptered in!  Just for us, to make sure he had a chance to greet everyone who had been waiting all day outside Mannat.

And he did that super dangerous thing he always does and climbed up on the edge of the railing.

And also, AbRam!!!  Who looks, as always, slightly confused by what’s happening.

But, back to the party!  I was thinking a two day party would be like raucous and wild and everyone gets drunk and sleeps it off kind of thing.  No, totally different.  More everyone just sort of hanging out and sitting in the sunshine and doing whatever.

And Suhana invited a bunch of girls her age for her to hang out with.  It’s less a wild party, and more family weekend.

Going back to Gauri and Suhana planning, now what I am picturing is the two of them sitting down and saying “You know, Daddy’s been working really really hard, what if we surprise him with a weekend away?  And we invite his closest friends, and our closest friends, and then we can all just hang out and leave him alone, and he can sleep or do whatever he wants.”  And maybe Gauri is thinking in the back of her mind “if I include her, she will be more enthusiastic, and if I let her invite her friends, she will actually be happy to be there instead of a grumpy 16 year old, and all her Dad wants is for her to be around more and be cheerful, so that will make him happy too and he doesn’t have to know it only happened because I tricked her into it.”

I could be wrong, more photos could come out, but right now that’s the vibe I’m getting.

Oh!  Also!  Did you know you can land private yachts at Gateway to India?  Yeah, Shahrukh helicoptered back, but everyone else took a yacht and landed at Gateway before going to their cars.
