I could have stayed up until 2-3am and attempted live coverage, but I decided it was not worth it and I was going to bed instead and will find it all laid out for me in the morning. Write a DeepVeer post, write a PC-Nick post, watch 2.0, the perfect Saturday!
Obviously we will mostly be talking wedding today, but while we wait for those photos to filter out, here’s some other less exciting photos to talk about! Last weekend I set up my Christmas Wonderland in my apartment. It is so bright that I am having a hard time sleeping. And yet so beautiful that I can’t bring myself to turn it off even at night. My electricity bill is going to be soooooooooooo high. That’s how you know it’s Christmas!
Anyway, let us start as though we entered through the back door. The first thing you will see is the Kitchen Christmas Tree.
And then moving into my cozy little TV/living room, where I have my Mickey-Minnie Christmas tree, my light up enormous candy cane, and of course my festive chair covering (really, it’s worth looking at more closely).
And then we turn, and admire the festive table runner that I have pinned to the back of the couch (the dog doesn’t care).
And finally off to the front room, where there are maximum lights so all my neighbors can enjoy them/curse me because they are on all night and it’s like living across from a search light.
And to finish, a close up of my biggest tree, the front room one that I think of as the “real” one.
By the way, in case you were wondering, Dog Hazel hates all of this and just wants to pretend it’s not happening.
So, that’s what’s up with me, I will be enjoying my festive home and writing wedding posts and seeing 2.0 today. What’s up with you?
Wait, so Dips-Veer reception is only today? I have seen so many photos from so many receptions I was sure it’s over finally.
Other news: Sunil Shetty liked my tweet! Yesterday was Ehsaas the feeling, 17th anniversary and I wrote it was the first dvd I ordered from India. Sunil approved 😁

Yaaaaay! Congrats to you and congrats to Sunil for having such good taste in who to respond to on twitter 🙂
So far as I can tell, DeepVeer had the wedding in Italy that was tiny tiny. And then they had a big big reception in Bangalore because Dips’ family is a big deal there. So far, this all makes sense, why ask all the many people you would need to invite from Bangalore to come all the way to Bombay, easier to just have the party there. And then they went to Bombay and Ranveer’s family through them a party. I’m still with them at this point, it was a kind of “welcome to the family” housewarming sort of thing, separate from the religious ceremony in Italy. But then there is a 4th party in Bombay that is very big but has no famous people. Which seems like a new idea, to have a big famous people reception and a big no famous people reception. I assume they just didn’t want the regular guests (like Ranveer’s father’s secretary and his family or something) to deal with the hassle of the photographers and media and everything. But it’s still a new strange thing. Or maybe I am misunderstanding the coverage, but that’s how it looks to me.
Anyway, today is the day that they have the actual famous people party.

I hace lost count after Bangalore. Because it was too much. First italian wedding, then airport look when they returned, airport look when they were going to Bangalore, reception in Bangalore, airport look again, Dips-Veer greet paps under Ranveer’s apartment, Mumbai reception, and I thought we are done, nad now other reception! I’m tired only by watching their photos, don’t know what they do to keep going, and look always so good.

Well, they do have a week or so between each event. I really hope they spend that week in sweats eating pizza with the door locked, and then emerge again like beautiful butterflies when it’s time for the next big thing.

So that was quite why I think to keep the important rich Business players separate from the more showy and loud Bollywood folks. Just my guess.

Yep, that’s what I was thinking too. And then a third Bombay party that was more just family not business connections.

Yay! Teefa in Trouble! I wanted to see that one and I wouldn’t have found it.
Just watched the most Bollywood Spanish film I’ve ever seen – The Tribe (La Tribu). (Except, as always, way more sexually explicit – they went through this whole openness period once censorship under Franco ended and it just stuck, what can I say.) This movie has a dance contest plot and family drama and even a made-for-the-internet production number over the end credits. I wonder if other industries are starting to wise up to the promo potential of putting music videos into their movies.

Teefa in Trouble is so good! I’m thinking of doing a random review repost just to inform people it’s available.
