Rainy Day Post, Happy Songs!

It is just the worst weather right now outside my window. Overcast and mildly rainy, not even the excitement of a serious storm. Plus my windshield wipers stopped working this morning, which is also the kind of irritating-but-not-exciting version of car problems. It’s just bleh. So I am going to indulge myself with a post of songs that make me happy. And feel free to put your own “happy songs” recommendations in the comments!

Starting with Rahman! Always good for a cheer-up.

And his other big peppy recent hit!

Old school Rahman!

And older school Rahman!

Now, the opposite of that, a very very BAD song that cheers me up because of its badness.

Speaking of bad but cheering songs, Pyaar Impossible is always with us.

And of course, Hum Saath Saath Hain!

And then there is a band new cheering song which jumped right to the top of my “cheer up” list, “Good Morning”.

Speaking of Anil, it is his reactions that make this song one of my favorites:

Speaking of reactions, Shahrukh does a really great job making this song fun too.

This song I kind of feel bad for finding so happy making. But it really really does make me happy!

Speaking of which, my goodness do Yo Yo Honey Singh videos cheer me up!

With Sonakshi!

A slightly more female positive catchy song with hip hop dancing!

And the classic cheer up song!

UPDATE: already two songs to add from the comments! “Rowdy Baby” suggested MKP

And that made me remember “Macho”, my favorite silly Tamil/English song!

Okay, help me out, it’s going to be depressing and rainy here for at least another day. What other songs can I watch to feel a little less “what’s the point in getting out of bed, the world is horrible and will never get better”y?

    • Oh oh! That reminds me, I didn’t include Macho!!!! I love Macho. The English/Tamil blend songs are their own unique brand of happy/stupid.

    • this is all just confirming my believe that the early 2000s had the best music! Yes, it is also when I happened to find Indian films, and that early 20s age when everyone thinks the music is the best. But it’s true! Look at all these songs from the Abhi Baby hey day! There’s nothing as good as “Right Here Right Now” and “Dus Kahaane” coming out any more.
