White fedora, cool or trying too hard?
Plaid fedora, definitely trying too hard. But at least it is as a character in a film, not real life.
I think this is also for a film, but even so it might be unforgivable.

I don’t think this is a true fedora, I think this is a soft hat that would be appropriate for a cricket match. And of course the wet shirt look is always timely.

But he always looks good in a turban. So long as it is a nice tidy little one, not the crazy Rajasthani style.

I agree about the turban, I LOVE that on him. I like the one he wears at the wedding but I also really like how he looks in Butterfly…casual and super Punjabi.
I like the hipster look, personally, and that’s only for him, not for any other man…

I have given this much thought over the years…no hat. Shahrukh does not have a “hat head” or “hat face”. Some people look good in hats, others don’t. Worst look is the hipster wool hat; I’ve seen pics of him in this in India so this can only be an affection; it’s too damn hot here for hats! Turban is least bad.

I think we can forgive the fedora in the first pic as it clearly shows that it’s supposed to be thrown to a fan, what with the autograph and all.
That being said, the only western style hat that I genuinly like on him is the Captain’s hat from KHKN, posted in the comments above.

I agree, with the priviso that the captains hat is cute on a 20-something trying to be cool. I don’t think he could pull the look off today.
