I thought I had gotten it out of my system, but apparently not. Also, it’s Saturday so I don’t have to think and be mature. For the good of us all, I am now going to comb through the songs and trailers for the best possible images. And then we can use them to decorate our “Hrithik+Tiger= Tru Luv 4Ever” clubhouse.

Which of these is sexiest do you think?
I vote 13, the saluting photo

And which makes you happiest?
For me, no contest, 30. I know it’s just a random dance moment, but boy is it funny!

I haven’t gotten it out of my system either! I was seriously thinking of seeing it again today but I was working all morning and I was too tired to do anything.
My faves: 1 & 2 (of course), 13 with Tiger being all eager to please Hrithik, 19 (with Hrithik looking griefy and betrayed), and 28 with their gorgeous Indian noses in profile.

I have to admit when I look at #28, I do have a moment of suspecting a nose job from the same surgeon. But then I bury that unworthy thought and go back to assuming they are both naturally handsome men who coincidentally have very similar noses!
The other thing that occurs to me when I look at all of them is that there is something in Hrithik’s face that just isn’t there with Tiger. Maybe Tiger is too symmetrical? Hrithik has some barely perceptible flaw that makes his face more intriguing? Or is it just age?

I’m pretty sure it’s not plastic surgery just because you see that nose shape everywhere on desi faces and Tiger’s nose in particular has that outer parabola that gets obliterated when people have nose jobs. I also just took a look at photos of Hrithik as a kid and his nose seems to be the same basic shape.
Hrithik’s face is a bit odd. I mean, he’s insanely otherworldly handsome but his features are extreme. The flared nostrils, the cheekbones, the jaw. Combine that with his green eyes and also his body which is also weirdly extreme, super long limbs and fingers and the double thumb. Like he should look freakish and instead it combines into jaw dropping beauty.

When I first got into the films, Hrithik has just been launched a couple years earlier. And I was sure he was going to age oddly (because of all the reasons you mention). I’ve been waiting for 15 years for Hrithik to stop being beautiful, and I think I should just give up at this point because it is never going to happen.

No plastic surgeon would leave those nostrils and that bump in the nose, imo. They’d have gone the Paul Anka way and both ended up looking like early white Michael Jackson.
I’m sure Hrithik has had work done but idk enough about him to tell what.

I know what work I want him to have done. I want his eyes fixed a bit, they are too puffy. And I want a slight cheek lift so he is less jowly.

I think he’s had his eyes lifted already, and done a general face lift but a small one. Fillers too and a bit of botox? The very tip of his nose might have been done, too.
The wig was alright most of the time, btw, but occasionally it just resembled a puffball stuck at the front of his head and it distracted me.

Let me direct you to this post for my recommendations of a better way for the wig to have been addressed in the film: https://dontcallitbollywood.com/2019/10/08/silly-war-post-rank-which-of-these-imaginary-scenes-you-most-want-filmed-and-added/

Oh God I hope he continues to be conservative and judicious with his surgeries and fillers because there are some terrifyingly awful examples of plastic surgery out there.Better a bit of sag than to end up looking like a mannequin.

No, never stop, I am finally seeing it today! I am personally a big fan of 31.

I am so happy for you! And I saw versions of 31 already all over the internet, so I think that moment is universally popular.

I FINALLY SAW IT! It was deeply gay, and I think it knows it, judging from the “Get in line” comment. Truly, the drop the soap in Silsila moment of our times.
Aside from that I thought it was delightful in general. It was like a 70s patriotic masala, with the mcguffins and the doubles and the face stealing and the homoeroticism. I haven’t seen anything as hilarious as them driving normal (low slung and without snow chains even!) cars over arctic ice and Tiger fighting shirtless in a CHURCH IN SIBERIA IN WINTER in a while.
It’s sad that that bring with it the regressive attitudes and nationalism of the 70s, but unfortunately that is what I expect of Indian film now anyway, so we might as well get something gay.

YAAAAAAAY! And now you can read my many many spoiler-y contents. I recommend starting with the Spoiler review and moving on to the fanfic.
Somehow the shirtlessness didn’t bother me (side effect of the magical plastic surgery that his nerves are deadened?), but I had a hard time with Hrithik’s head breaking stone pillars and him just shaking it off. On the other hand, the plane to plan action sequence was completely logical and reasonable. He survived falling out of the plane, because he drove off it in a jeep, and also he had a parachute. This is all logical and in line with physics as I understand it.

lol I know, but the thing with that is I have no experience with jumping out of exploding planes in jeeps but I do have experience with ice and snow. The thing is, even if you didn’t feel it, you’d still start shaking and getting numb very soon. But hey.
