Christmas Update! Albie Dog Turned on His Little Stuffed Raindeer Friend

This might sound crazy, but I don’t think Albie Dog knows it is Christmas! Or, generally, that this should be a time of peace and goodwill to all, including stuffed toys.

I am giving Albie Dog a new little Christmas themed stuffed toy out of his stocking every Friday. The poor elf lasted about 20 minutes last week.

But this week he seemed to have bonded with his little stuffed raindeer friend!

Until this morning when their relationship took a sudden hard turn towards violence.

Poor Santa is in the stocking witnessing all of this and aware that his doom comes ever closer day by day.

Oh well, the holidays are hard on everyone.

  1. I have to tell you, I came to this Blog as an SRK fan ( which I still am, of course) but I have to say I LOVE Albie dog’s attitude. He is fast becoming my favorite, no offense to anyone else…..

    • I feel like, in his own peabrained way, Albie Dog has a much healthier attitude towards life than SRK. Bad box office? He doesn’t care! 5 seconds later, he has already forgotten and moved on to other things.

  2. This post is both comedy and horror for me. Comedy, becuase it is funny, horror because while he was out of town at a soccer tournament I loaned my son’s stuffed shark to our local Santa Train so they could sing santa shark. And today when I went to pick the shark up it couldn’t be found, though the house it was supposed to be in had a peaceful black lab sleeping in front of the fire. It doesn’t matter what fabulous replacement my kid might get, if anything happened to his stuffed toy…

    • Oh this is so terrible! Albie Dog bit the eyes off my childhood stuffed pig but, you know, I’m an adult. I can process dog-related animal loss.

I will keep a good thought for your Santa shark.

      • The dammage is done, anyways…Santa knows his fate…facing the wall or witnessing the murder of his fellow toys wouldn’t make the trauma go away anymore…still, he saw the raindeer survive one day…so there is still hope…

  3. This made my day. Looking forward to hearing what happens with the rest of the toys. Also, my new favorite thing is to giving my sister’s dog thin blankets. The dog carries her little blanket around everywhere like a little purse in her mouth and lays it down when she wants to snuggle with it.

    • That is so cute!!!! Albie Dog just shakes blankets like he is killing them, and then eats them.

      • Ha! That is awesome. Also, after throwing two christmas parties over the weekend, I am home with a full blown cold/flu, probably from hugging so many people, so you will be getting lots of comments from me today.

      • Maybe, Albie is a moth reincarnated…being bigger with excellent teeth and such a generous caretaker, he can explore the world of fabric even more.
