Another fun theme song post! Any song that is aggressively all blue in one shot, and then all red in another. Or all the same color straight through. Not mixed up onscreen, you know? All one thing.
First one I thought of, of course, was Karan Johar’s big color scheme song “Tumhi Dekho Na”. Going from Blue to Orange to Purple to Red to Green.
This one, so pretty, Farhan Khan walking through a sea of yellow as he thinks of Sonam, “O Rangrez”
Okay, this one isn’t technically just one color, but the way M. F Husain structured it, you see these bright clear colors like spots of paint on a sandy canvas, “Yeh Rishta”
Farah Khan’s take on this idea, a blue background with a yellow sari, then a purple and black, and finally (my favorite) the faded white-grey with the pop of color of yellow flowers and red sari scarf, “Aur Kya”
This whole movie is blue, and that’s WEIRD, and I don’t like it. But by golly I like this one song video despite myself, “Masha Allah”
Okay, what else? To clarify, I don’t mean “colorful” songs, the ones where there are a million different tones on screen.
So, even though the big line is “who has colored me emerald”, I do NOT mean this song:
I mean the ones where you look at it and go “oh, this is a blue song” or “this is a yellow” song. You know? They can be so pretty and I want to watch more of them! Give me ideas!

Many Bhansali songs would fit into this category – Nagada Sang Dhol is a ‘red song’, Ang Laga De is an ‘Off-white/cream color song’, and Deewani Mastani is Gold? Bronze? Copper?.
Satrangi Re from Dil Se also had an interesting use of color. Oh, and the tomato song from ZNMD was red of course!

Would this count? Apart from the saree’s being cream coloured this is a red song by the sheer amount of red is on screen.
Blue/Black all in a setting with it all around
This song is very yellow/orange because of the sand
Very green song by the amount of just green Alpine scenery
Going through the whole rainbow here with green, red, yellow, blue, orange and white

I like below songs –
1. Om Namaha (kissing song) from Geethanjali – both in Black, Black background with lights on them. simply magic from Mani Ratnam (director) and PC Sriram (photographer). Of course, music by Ilayaraja and singing by SPB and Janaki.
2. This song from Bombay – all lush green, fully wet (Indian monsoon) patches and then blue sky and see. When I saw on big screen, with Rahman music on DTS, I was blown away –
