Woo-hoo, a Shahrukh movie! And a good/bad one, so we will neither be distracted by being in love with him, nor bored by how terrible the film is. Oh, also Varun Dhawan, the Birthday boy.
Dilwale! Big fun bright dumb! The comedy track is murder, but we can just talk about other things during that section. Watch it on Netflix, or anywhere else you can find it.
I will start the comments below at 3pm Chicago time, you all can just keep adding on. Fun fun!
Oh oh! I just remembered! Kabir Bedi played SRK’s Dad in his first movie ever! Awww, that’s kind of sweet, seeing them together again.

We all saw Han in carbonite in the background just there, right?

Okay, as much of a good naive boy that he is, Varun is really smart to figure out all the why’s and what he needs to do in less than a minute

Yes yes! The funniest scene!
Question, do we think Shakti is biological Varun’s brother and Anwar became his second father/brother when he got together with Shakit? Or did Anwar and Shakti adopt Varun together?

I feel like Shetty kinda took this scene from Chennai Express where they sing movie songs along with notes for each other, they have the same vibe

Do you hate tank tops on SRK too?

I’m torn, because I like seeing his arms and clavicle, but I don’t like hte feel of tank tops, the kind of bro thing

I do hate tanks on him. I would bet he hasn’t done laundry in many decades. if ever

I’m thinking never. His Mom, and then someone he paid because he was working too much to do it, and then someone Gauri supervised (I would bet good money Gauri has never done laundry in her life)

Who is looking at the shirt-vest when Shah Rukh looks so damn hot right now?!

Kajol should always wear black long sleeve knit tops and big circle skirts. She looks amazing in every one in this movie.

And SRK should always be in a wet white shirt!

The making of this song is when the choreographer was talking about Kajol being really spooked over being back on camera, and SRK helping her and kind of walking her through it. While he himself (as usual) was in extreme pain from his latest back/knee/shoulder problem.
Anyway, I think you can see that, he is “leading” a bit more than usual in the dance.

Okay, WTF is that ‘Italian Rambo’ shirt on Varun? Can someone explain??
LikeLike
Does it say “Italien Stallion”? Because that was Rocky’s stage name, so it’s a Rocky shirt.
Why Varun is wearing a Rocky shirt, no idea.

Okay! I didn’t know he had a stage name at all. Thank you 🙂

He doesn’t say “noting is more important than a brother”, he says “brother is over all”. Like, he isn’t giving us the life lesson that brothers in general are important, just SRK in particular.
Also, NOT COOL KAJOL!!!!
