  1. I am positive that 90% of the “India” scenes were actually filmed on location in England, including this sequence. That just can’t be what an Indian boarding school looks like.

    • My problem with this temple theory is that the Raichand house also looks so majestic that I wondered about the Grandmas

  2. “That is the nazi symbol, but it has a different meaning in India. But don’t ever make that symbol in the U.S.” – things I have to say during Hindi movies…

  3. And this is when I say “this song is foreshadowing the rest of the plot, because Ram and Sita had to leave their home and then return”. And BLOW YOUR MINDS!!!!!

  4. I’m not really watching other kids now, but a friend had an emergency so I am watching my son’s half Swedish / half Indian American friend, and she is getting a kick out of tell us all the Hindi words her grandmother has taught her. The biggest word is “namaste”!

  5. Having just watched Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, the biggest leap forward I see between the movies is in the costumes. Rani here looks better than she looked in all of Kuch Kuch put together
