  1. I love that Kareena’s character is so over the top and self-obsessed, but we also see her choosing to spend all this time with her family. She’s not some shallow villain.

  2. I love that we have that dialogue of “didn’t I keep telling you Anjali?” but we never saw those conversations. A little hint of the hidden life of these two women within the household, who see more than anyone gives them credit for.

  3. We know the subtitles are saying “Hail India”, but it’s really “Hail Motherland”, right? Thus the double meaning with Krish singing for Kajol, and Kajol running up to rescue him?

  4. This sequence just makes their London life look too nice. Punjabi couple to joke with, going to the mall as a family on weekends, how can being rich in a big house in India compare?

  5. Confrontation #1, of like 23. Karan has got to get an editor in to help him with his movie endings. This is ridiculous!

  6. “I agree they are our elders. But even they don’t have the right to break a heart.”
That’s a good line. That’s a protest sign kind of line.

    • One of my all time favorite SRK scenes, kills me every time. His whole family is working on him, the people he most loves, but he can’t go back because the wound of rejection is so deep.

  7. Oh BOY!!! My favorite scene of the movie! If it had ended after this, and then we got a happy scene of Jaya moving into the London home over the end credits, that would have been perfect.

    • It’s one of the most impressive for me. She actually came with the intention to talk to him and he shut her out…and she just let him have it…
      Finally!

  8. Love this, Shahrukh can’t say no to Kareena. Good parenting, sacrificing your own dignity, happiness, abstract notion of honor, in order to make your kid happy.
