Movies set in America? Movies critical of America? Movies with dumb Americans? Anything is possible!
Give me a post idea! Or a review I should repost! Probably not a movie I watch fresh, because I’m not gonna promise I have time for that. But anything else 4th of July-y is on the table!
Want to know a brief overview of desi immigration to America?
Or, a series of films to watch to follow the history of the American diaspora?
Or, just repost my review of Ranam?
Also, VERY IMPORTANT:
On Friday do we watch Kal Ho Na Ho, or Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna?
KHNH for Friday!
And yes to a series of films to watch to follow the history of the American diaspora and a brief overview of desi immigration to America.

I’d be super into a Movies Critical of America post.

Movies with the stupidest American characters
Movies with the most gratuitous use of an American boyfriend/girlfriend who’s discarded later
Movies with “Americans” speaking with British accents.

Oh man, “John” in Swades! I have no idea what his accent was, it could even have been “American but I’m not an actor and suddenly my voice sounds weird”.

Fireworks! Characters declaring independence from patriarchal powers!

Oooo! I like the declaration of independence theme! Tragically, not that many movies that included it (father always knows best).
