I put up that discussion post two weeks ago, and then realized it was already too late. With the slow shipping times currently and the impossibility of shopping in stores, plus my foot limiting what I am able to do, I didn’t have many options. Anyway, I did the best I could!

I put up the post and started thinking about what Grandpa might like, and landed on “wait, I was thinking of 99 roses, and my Grandma’s name was ‘Rose’!” So I went online and found this really cool picture frame with a bunch of paper roses on it on Etsy, ordered it, and felt all set. I would put a photo of Grandma in it, and then it would be “99 roses”. Cool, right?

But when it still hadn’t shipped by Monday, I realized it wouldn’t arrive in time. Okay, last minute change of plans! It wasn’t nearly as good, but I decided to switch gears to more of a light joke present. I ordered a fancy little canvas print of a silly photo of Albie Dog, and a German birthday card (Grandpa and I have a tradition of German birthday cards). And then I got a call, oops, the store is out of canvas print equipment but might have it by tomorrow. Fine, I don’t need it for a few days, I can wait. Another call the next day, still out. By yesterday, I was calling them. Still out. Okay, new plan! I order the photo of Albie as a regular photo and then Risk Death by going into the store and buying a picture frame to put it in.
