Shahrukh Month WatchAlong! What Should We See on Saturday Morning???

Oh boy, the first faint opening bells of Shahrukh Month!!!! We have to pick our first Shahrukh Month WatchAlong Film. And I have IDEAS. Oh, and I also have a conflict Friday afternoon, so it has to be Saturday morning this week.

Jab Harry Met Sejal

Because it’s the DCIB favorite

Yes Boss

Because of aggressive lobbying by a single issue group

Brown Sugar

Because I love it and the first time I saw KKHH, I thought “wait, this is Brown Sugar!” so it is sort of an SRK movie.

Dhanak

Because I love it and it is DEFINITELY an SRK movie

Anjaam

Because it just got added to Netflix

Chaahat

Because it also just got added

Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna

Because I keep suggesting it and no one ever takes me up on it

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Because it’s Ranbir’s birthday this week and I we could all hate on it

Dil To Pagal Hai

Because this movie is so boooooooooooooooooring, I need support to stay awake through it. Also, Yashji.

Anything Else Except MNIK and Hey Ram and Veer Zaara and Devdas

Because MNIK is way way too deep for a watchalong, and Hey Ram is hateful, and I just really don’t like Veer-Zaara and Devdas and it’s my blog.

Oh, and remember, we have 5 Shahrukh month watchalongs, so if I don’t pick your choice this week (I am looking at you, crazy Yes Boss people), there are still plenty of chances.

  1. From your list, in no particular order 😉 Yes Boss!!!, Brown Sugar, Jab Harry Met Sejal (but I think we watched this recently so I’m fine waiting to wait it later in the month), Dil Toh Pagal Hai. Others not on your list, Karan Arjun (I have no idea why but I love that movie), One 2 Ka 4 (it’s on Netflix), or Main Hoon Nah.

  2. I’ll speak up for KANK! I missed seeing it when it came out and somehow have never caught up with it in the intervening years. Might as well happen sometime : )

I would also rewatch “Karan Arjun” at the drop of a hat–what glorious trash!
