Woot! Happy Saturday! It’s snowy and cold and I did a massive grocery shop yesterday so I never have to go out again. Until I run out of cream. I forgot to buy cream. Anyway, let’s watch a silly movie!
I Hate Luv Storys
Made in that magical time when Imran Khan was gonna be a big rom-com hero! And Sonam Kapoor already knew exactly who she was and what she could play onscreen. And also, the soundtrack is DOPE.

At 8am Chicago time, I will put up an “And PLAY” comment and then we will all go along from there! Yaaaaaaaay!
Okay Baby SRK says, It’s been fun but he is ready for his nap now.

Oh oh! My favorite song coming!!!! The one that will go through your head for ever and make you smile. Also, great “friendship love” visuals.

At least he acknowledges that he is a problem as well, even if it’s surface level by this point.

I do think Sonam and Raj should not get together. It’s just habit and going through the motions, Sonam deserves better!

Why is Imran the worst and also so adorably charming?

Okay, Imran, you don’t goof that much and try so hard to make a girl laugh unless you like-like her. Get some self-awareness!

Aw, he hugs the guy instead of kicking him or something. He is learning!!! Nothing says more about a person than how they treat people who are meant to “serve” them

He wanted to hit him. I know Simran saw that whole thing as charming – but it didn’t hit me the same.

Raj is a nice dude acknowledging the issues in their relationship. But Sonam should still break up with him.

Husband think Raj is a nice guy and should end up with the hot cousin. Since they are polar opposites, she can spark some excitement in his life.

I love the idea that Raj stood Simran on rocks to have a serious discussion with her! I want to reconfess my love to you and discuss how you’ve changed, lets do that while you look glorious!

Imran is so nice and funny and charming! I can forgive Sonam for forgetting that at heart he is a terrible person. But I am worried about her.

He jokes around with her, and is a fun friend. But that isn’t love.

It’s definitely different from Raj and what she is missing with him. Maybe Imran should be a lesson to her in what she wants out of a relationship but not ACTUALLY her next relationship.

This is the only movie I can think of where I am so worried about the heroine falling in love. Maybe also the second half of Lamhe? But that feeling of “oh honey, he’s not worth it”, very rare.

Husband: Didn’t they have a chart that said hotness = sales. When is the director going to realize that Imraan and Sonam are hotter than the actors they have hired for the fake movie.

This whole idea of the film staff falling in love for real witht he background of the fake love story is so good, I wish there were more movies like that. Also, I want to see the movie where the house catches on fire on Karva Chauth.

Also what I love, we have so many moves like DTPH etc. where they are flirt flirt flirt and never actually say something. In this movie, she said it because she is a mature intelligent person. And she was RIGHT too, it was more than just nothing work stuff, she saw it before he did.
