Saturday WatchAlong: I Hate Luv Storys! 8am Chicago Time!

Woot! Happy Saturday! It’s snowy and cold and I did a massive grocery shop yesterday so I never have to go out again. Until I run out of cream. I forgot to buy cream. Anyway, let’s watch a silly movie!

I Hate Luv Storys

Made in that magical time when Imran Khan was gonna be a big rom-com hero! And Sonam Kapoor already knew exactly who she was and what she could play onscreen. And also, the soundtrack is DOPE.

At 8am Chicago time, I will put up an “And PLAY” comment and then we will all go along from there! Yaaaaaaaay!

  1. Oh oh! My favorite song coming!!!! The one that will go through your head for ever and make you smile. Also, great “friendship love” visuals.

  2. I love the idea that Raj stood Simran on rocks to have a serious discussion with her! I want to reconfess my love to you and discuss how you’ve changed, lets do that while you look glorious!

    • HA! I didn’t even notice it, my brain has been fried by movies. All big relationship conversations take place with glorious backdrops.

  3. This is the only movie I can think of where I am so worried about the heroine falling in love. Maybe also the second half of Lamhe? But that feeling of “oh honey, he’s not worth it”, very rare.

  4. Husband: Didn’t they have a chart that said hotness = sales. When is the director going to realize that Imraan and Sonam are hotter than the actors they have hired for the fake movie.

  5. This whole idea of the film staff falling in love for real witht he background of the fake love story is so good, I wish there were more movies like that. Also, I want to see the movie where the house catches on fire on Karva Chauth.

  6. Husband: Does she just have a stupid amount of money that she gets driven around by a chauffer and lives in a house with a guard but is an art director for the movie?

  7. She is so mature and awesome and he does not deserve her! And she does not deserve to have to be mature and awesome and “it’s not your fault” about this.

  8. I LOVE THIS PART! I mean, I hate it because it is killer to watch. But I love it because it shows a heroine acknowledging and saying what she is feeling without falling apart or being embarrassed.

  9. Also what I love, we have so many moves like DTPH etc. where they are flirt flirt flirt and never actually say something. In this movie, she said it because she is a mature intelligent person. And she was RIGHT too, it was more than just nothing work stuff, she saw it before he did.

  10. Okay, he is no longer a marginally decent person. He has moved back to being a not-decent person. Why drunk call Sonam? Just leave her alone!
