You’ve worn me down! I am willing to consider Hum Hain Rahe Pyar Ki. Yes yes, joy joy, excitement and celebration. BUT! It is also Bappi’s week, can we really forsake him utterly? Shouldn’t we at least consider Disco Dancer?
Hum Hain Rahe Pyar Ki
It’s cute, it’s happy, it has kids, and it’s not super hard to find (it’s on einthusan and for rent). And also, there are certain people, naming no names, who are UNHEALTHILY OBSESSED with forcing us to watch this for a watchalong.
Disco Dancer
It’s not a “Love” theme for February, but it also might be my only shot at convincing you to watch Disco Dancer. Bappi! Disco! We have to!

Oh, and it has to be Saturday morning, because my parents are coming over on Friday to help me hang pictures, yaaaaaaaay!
Didn’t we watch Hum Hain Rahe Pyar Ki as a watch a long in the past? Or did I just watch it on my own and talk to everyone on your blog about it? I have never seen Disco Dancer, but I’ll be at my in-laws off the grid house so there is a good chance I won’t be able to participate. But you never know, sometimes their satalite wifi works, and they finally figured out their password…

I thought we had watched it a LONG time ago also, but then I couldn’t find it on the blog so that means, it didn’t happen, right?

*sings* “Hum hain rahi PYAAAR ke, hum hain rahi PYAAAR ke. . .”
Seriously, though, I am down for HHRPK whenever BUT also enjoy “Disco Dancer” and since “love in February” was Margaret’s rule to make it is also Margaret’s rule to break if desired. In short, just about equally happy for either. And I just got past a big work deadline and am planning to chill for the rest of the week, so I should be both available and awake on Saturday a.m.!

Obviously, I am one of those who has a unhealthy obsession with Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke so that gets my vote!!!! IT IS SOO SOO GOOD!!! And it has some of my favorite songs!
But, I am fine with watching Disco Dancer some other time in the future. Maybe the first week of March? It’s pretty ridiculous and fun. Also, we are going to have to find a time to watch it when Popka is available because this very much seems like a Popka kind of movie!

I literally came here to beg for Disco Dancer to be at a time I can make it because this weekend I will very likely not have time. I bloody love it.

I have never seen ‘Hum Hain Rahe Pyar Ki’ so I am voting for it. I agree with, Filmikhudi, we can watch ‘Disco Dancer’ in March or something.

So not knowing if I would be able to attend I watched Love Love Love last night – fulfilling V-day wishes as well as Aamir & Juhi & Bappi. Oh it was so awesomely awful. Nothing like a 40-year-old college going villain, a victory dance where Juhi gets lifted about by little tiny Aamir as if she was a glorious golden whale, and carnaval that serves as cover for it’s real purpose – an empty box storage facility. Oh, and fake blood just dripping out of suits like bottles of spilled nail polish to the background of Star Wars music. I also heard Chariots of Fire in there too. Trying to pinpoint the origins of the background music was a bit distracting.
Wikipedia says the financial results were dissapointing as producers assumed grand success after Qayamat se Qayamat Tak. Qayamat et all is a GOOD movie. Don’t get me wrong, the Juhi Aamir interactions are cute anywhere, but plot & dialogue matter I guess. Juhi & Aamir’s lip touch was unbeleavably hot in Love Love Love though.
