Happy Monday!!! I did so much this weekend! I finished my thousand piece jigsaw puzzle, most importantly. And I also dropped off a birthday present, got a massage, got a pedicure, made dinner for my parents, did two loads of recycling, organized the massive number of fence posts I need to assemble, and read the instructions for a lavender-in-a-jar planting project. And now I am at work, being all unproductive.
Here is where you get to ask me anything you want from “tell me more of this lavender in a jar” to “are you ever going to watch Jayeshbhai Jordaar?” Just keep swinging back here all week as you think of new questions!
Now, question for you! Well, two questions. First question, how happy does this story make you: https://www.bollywoodhungama.com/news/bollywood/shows-kangana-ranaut-starrer-dhaakad-cancelled-due-zero-audience-several-cinemas-replaced-bhool-bhulaiyaa-2/ ?
My answer, VERY HAPPY!!!!! She’s just not a person who people like, certainly not enough to get them to bother going to theaters and buying tickets for a so-so movie. So much for the “Kangana, the only Female Star in Hindi Cinema! Succeeding on merit unlike the worthless nepo kids!” narrative.
Second question, why has Albie Dog been weird for the past 2 days? There’s no thunderstorm, there’s no fireworks that I can hear, he’s had his walks and his food, and yet he keeps getting random zoomies and then crawling into my lap. Do we have mice maybe?
Gaaaaaaah I thought we were done with movies about women’s rights being about men.

Do you think that’s why Albie Dog is upset? Because of Kangana’s movie releasing?

Oh, I was referring to the other one. But yes, I’m sure that’s it.

It shows that Kangana doesn’t have fans, only paid trolls.
But was this movie even promoted? I muted Kangana on twitter so I don’t see most of the things she or people write, but still something always arrives and I had no idea Dhaakad released. Only now I saw some tweets about it being a failure.
Well if I know Kangana well she will pretend nothing happened and in few years she will start telling how important and big hit it was and never a woman made a movie that important and special 😉

If I’m not wrong Kangana was removed from Twitter as she received so many complaints.

Yes, I remember this story. I blocked her before she was banned and later also muted her name because I didn’t wanted to read what her “fans” write.

Definitely not a Kangana fan but in a way, it’s sad. She seems to be getting worse. One reviewer praised Dhaakad’s cinematography but panned just about everything else, wrote that her perfprmance was wooden, stylized and had no heart. Despite her unpleasant personality, she knew her craft, but now pathology (it has to be that, nobody can be that miserable on purpose) has taken over talent.
I’m sure Albie Dog is neutered, but is there a female in heat somewhere in the neighborhood? Could be he’s getting vibes and doesn’t know what to do about it.
Can’t wait to sit back tonight with snacks and my aroma candle and watch RRR.

I was thinking something similar with Albie Dog, maybe one of my neighbors has a new puppy? He definitely goes on alert and gets upset when he hears puppies whine or yip. So maybe there is a crying puppy that I can’t hear but he can?
And you will love RRR!!!!

OMG, I LOVED RRR!
Never was a big fan of NTR, but now I am, and who knew Ram Charan had it in him. He pulled off all those pretentious jai hind lines like normal conversation. That’s hard to do. Have no idea what Ajay and Alia were doing in the movie but I guess everybody wants to work with Rajamouli.
So far, no historical fantasy has come close to Bahubaali 1 and 2. But RRR? I’m going to watch it again and maybe, just maybe, it’s a tie.

Regarding Albie Dog – many years ago a friend’s dog was acting wierd, they brought in a friend who made scultpures and talked to animals, and he went around their house and said there were ghosts, so he did a ceremony and removed the ghosts, and also told them to check their carbon monoxide levels. Turns out they had way too much carbon monoxide in the house – so they needed to open their windows more. Ghosts and carbon monoxide.

Oooo! That could actually be related! The city is tearing up my street and replacing pipes and stuff. I didn’t think that was related, because Albie was weird outside of work hours. But maybe it is the trapped gases and things that are being released into the atmosphere because of the work?

House plants.
Get a lot of house plants. The natural way to remove CO2 and pollutants from inside air.
(and lavender-in-a-jar doesn’t count.)

Why doesn’t lavender in a jar count? It’s got dirt & roots and is a plant. How about basil on the windowsill, does that count?

I think it totally counts! But maybe doesn’t actually clean CO2 from the air.

I read that the best plants for trapping carbon are the ones that live the longest – and now I’m imagining people trying to grow Bristlecone Pines on their windowsills.

I would like to hear about this lavender in a jar.
The Dhaakad news actually is making me a bit apprehensive, because Jayeshbai Jordaar also had to cancel showings and I wanted Ranveer to have a hit, and also it seems like someone has dire news about the future of Indian cinema every time you turn around. I know, they’ve been saying it since the TV was invented. But I want a nice huge hit with people I like that I can watch multiple times in the theater. If it’s just Kangana’s movie that failing then it’s fine, though.

Back to the Roots! I don’t know if they ship overseas, but they send you a little kit with everything you need and instructions. I think they may have started out developing fun things for kids, easy beginning to gardening, but then realized there are people like me who need the same sort of very basic starter instructions 🙂

Interesting! So it just grows out of the jar? That would be cool. Unfortunately, one of the only gardening facts I know is that southern Japan is too humid for lavender. (Might be ok if it were in a jar, though).

They send you a huge jar of soil, so like a pot but a jar, and then you can see the roots growing and if it needs more water and all of that because the sides are clear.

Please report back later if it fills your whole house with the relaxing scent of lavender.
