SHAHRUKH ALERT!!! New Teaser!!! Atlee Movie!!!!

Another Shahrukh teaser!!!! So this is 3 movies that are finally being officially announced (Pathan, Dunki, now Jawan). 2023 could be another 2016 with a new SRK movie every few months, woot!!!

Woot, SRK! Looking tough, with a million guns in a very over the top meta Atlee way. Atlee does insanely complicated fun over the top hero driven action movies. I’m hoping he and Shahrukh manage to merge concepts in a good way, not in a way that fights each other. This teaser gives me hope! We have the over the top meta clearly fake Atlee touch of all the guns and stuff, but also SRK’s rough voice and tough vibe.

    • The few Atlee movies I have seen, he likes having his heroes play dark/light. Either good/bad twins, or a really scary dude who pretends to be light and happy while undercover or something like that. So I am thinking it could be the same here, Shahrukh has a super scary side in the film, and also a super happy side.

      • Well, he already got a good hand of those kind of roles in the 90s, so it will be interesting how terrifying he can make this new kind of dark/light role in the 2020s or how it echoes or is different from those performances (other than age, and more acting yers).

  1. I’m so excited to see him acting again!

    In terms of roles, we have two action roles and Dunki, right? Seems safe, no objections.

  2. After years of drought, he’s giving us all the movies in one year😮 Loving the BGM. Not familiar with the director, what are some of his good movies? Do we know the female lead?

  3. He’s picking movies based on the directors right?

    1. Siddharth Anand right after War (and Bang Bang before that) – fun, massy, action hits;

    2. Rajkumar Hirani, with (as he said) Sanju, 3 Idiots, Munna Bhai, whether you like his movies or not, they are generally hits and praised by critics; and

    3. Atlee, on trend with the success of South Indian films. Director won best debut director, looking to do this first Hindi film.

    What do we think about that? Strategic or safe? Does it matter?

    • Maybe it’s just following his bliss? He talked about way back when he arrived in Bombay having a list of directors he wanted to work with as an actor. And that’s what Zero and JHMS were too. So maybe he’s just in that place in his art?

    • He was asked about that and he explained what he meant was that he needs to spend time with and get to know a person before he trusts them to direct him. It makes total sense and I think most big stars work that way.
